Good morning all.
Merry Christmas Eve! :)

Glad you got to veg out Paul, sure hope you're not coming down with anything!

Sorry about your white stuff KC, hope you didn't get a bunch.

Oh Sara are you "in" for the duration, or do you have to go out for Christmas gatherings?

OBG, you just keep that white stuff across the river on your side!

Enjoy your day Dale! Hope you get a few minutes to yourself somewhere in the day. :)

We have always gone to my mom's early Christmas morning for Santa's gifts ;) and breakfast. yep, she even signs the tags from Santa. Lol then we will head home and start preparing Christmas dinner for DHs family.

Normally both sides of the family come. But I have a feeling that's going to change starting this year. SIL wanted everyone to go to her house. My mom doesn't want to drive that far and thus feels like she won't be able to come here without hurt feelings. I completely understand. But I feel bad that now mom and dad will be alone for dinner. :( Also, there is no way that DHs family would go to SILs. Location and whatnot. We do it here now because one year it was DHs family who was alone for one of the holidays and I didn't want that. No one should be alone.

Do you get a lot where you are? I'm not sure where you are. Lol.
It is not uncommon to get 3-6 inches over night here. and by now we commonly would have had about a foot or so total for the year. Middle of Kansas

Good morning lovely and handsome Lurkers

Good morning Dale and Lurkers:wub:

Well, yesterday was a completely lazy day for me. I did absolutely nothing for once! Did some binge watching a series on Netflix. My throat and sinuses have been giving me fits. I was pretty sure it was allergies or something, but this morning, I'm not so sure. I might be getting a cold. If i do, it's the first one of the year. And we are supposed to go to Sequin, and hour away to our niece's place for Christmas lunch. At least we don't have the snow and ice to contend with like some of you have. Still have to get by the store and pick up a few things to take with us tomorrow when we go over to our neighbor's place. Should have done it yesterday, but just didn't have the ambition to do anything.

I'll be running around all day, it looks like, so I'd better get myself into gear. Hope all of you have a really wonderful Christmas!

Morning Lurkers

Good morning Dale, Paul, KC and lurkers  Happy Christmas Eve!!

That's awesome you were able to be a lump on the couch or your favorite chair yesterday, Paul. I really hope you aren't getting sick. :nun:

Joey, I'm sorry about the cooking. It's only for this year. Next year, you'll be rocking it out in the kitchen.:rickroll:

Angel, that's an awesome gift!!

I agree KC, white stuff can go far away as far as I'm concerned ;)

Merry Christmas, Hazy! :)

Lori, your dinner sounded amazing. It's supposed to start snowing again this afternoon and keep on through tomorrow. Another 3-6 per the last advisory. :nah:

Good morning Lurkers, just got home from breakfast and as I was putting my truck away it started snowing again hows that for timing :D

Good morning all.

It really makes it difficult when people have to start splitting up. We haven't been in our home for Christmas in 15 years as Christmas is always with my DLs family. Mr. Chill and I have decided to stay home next year even if it means being alone. I have come to the realization that as long as we see our boys sometime during the holidays we will be fine. Maybe it's just part of having sons that have us always driving and traveling, but next year will be different!
Hope it works out for you.

Good morning OBG and Lori

Dale, have a great time with company

It's going to be a busy one here too. Few more gifts to wrap. I have to make meatballs, peppermint cheesecake and a birthday cake for my brother. Then I have some tidying up to do. Oh and one last trip to wm. Maybe I can get DH to do that ;)
Sounds like a busy day! Definitely hoping DH will do that for you. :)

We have been lucky so far , this is first falling of white stuff and is only about a 1/4 of an inch.
Yea that you don't have the normal snow yet!
That wouldn't be fun to get out in!

:(
Hearing that kind of makes me thankful that my family is all spread out.
Terrible to say, but yeah...that's when feelings get hurt, and that's NOT what the holidays should be about.
I completely understand when folks have little ones and don't want to end up running all around.

A guy I work with has a HUGE family, they have something like 9 Christmas get togethers to attend each year.
Their family start having things the first weekend of Dec. It makes for a busy month for them, but at least everyone gets to "get together" and people aren't left out.

Good morning Dale, OBG, Sara, KC, Lori and lurkers :)

Hope everyone has a very Merry Christmas :)

Oh wow! I did not know that KS got that much snow. Then again I associate KS with tornadoes. You learn new things every day :)

You made a very good point. As long as you get together at some time during the holidays, it's all good. I'm definitely thankful for that. :)

Woot! DH is going to brave the crowds for me

Yes, definitely won't want anyone to be hurt. Holy moly, I couldn't imagine 9 Christmas get togethers bwahaha. But that's good that they get to see everyone.

We are spread out but not far enough I guess lolz! Mom is 20 min north of us. DHs family is 45 min south and Bro/SIL are 45 min east. My Gpa is 30 min north. We used to do mom, Gpa and then DHs family ever year with kiddo in tow on the same day. It got to be too much.

Happy Christmas Eve morning my lovelies.

Sounds like some of you have very busy days planned...hope you all find the time to relax and just enjoy the day for a bit.

Paul, glad you had a "me" day yesterday...hope you're not getting sick...sending healing vibes just in case. ;)

Not much planned here for the day...watching football...will make gumbo later and probably watch some Christmas movies too.

I am so glad I don't have to do all that traveling for Christmas anymore...the only one we do is my dad's annual Christmas dinner that he does the Sunday before Christmas...that was last week, but I didn't go this year because I was so stressed with the Princess and just couldn't see making a 4 hour trip there and 4 hours back all in the same day with her...they understood...someone always misses coming for one reason or another.

Hope everyone has a great day! :)

Good morning Angel.
...still *barely* morning.
Sounds like a wonderful day!!

Wow Sara, that's a lot of traveling, glad you're not having to do that in all the snow this year! :nun:

...just about time to find something for lunch, then will stitch a bit, and maybe nap.
Maybe find a movie or something to watch as well. :)
Just a lazyish day. Love those!!

Last one finally left and I’m exhausted o_O Still have to put the kitchen back together

Bela loves her bike but it’s going to take quite a bit of training before she can handle it :( I rode mine for about 5 minutes, man my legs are weak!
How exciting!!! You'll strengthen those legs up in no time ;)
