Good evening all. :)
I agree with all of the above.
This has been the strangest winter for up and down temps that I ever remember.

We have what we need to get by with no power, our generator isn't big enough to run the whole house, but we can run things long enough to keep warm, and stuff in the fridge cold and frozen. During that kind of weather, frozen food can even go outside in a cooler and will hold.
We have the bbq to cook, or the stove top can be manually lit.
Now that I have a French Press, coffee is no issue. I hand grind my beans, use a mix of hand ground, and already ground. I could just heat it in a pan then strain it too.

...I think someone is burning a dead animal (or something) in a burning barrel in the neighborhood.
There is a smell of burnt hair outside....*shudder*....ick. :nah:

Year end BS is all done at work. They're all updated and ready to run statements tomorrow.
Always glad when that's over with. Our office is sure a mess though with stacks of 2017 GL account folders everywhere.

Not a lot to report other than that tonight.
Oh, I have a normal Dr. appt. tomorrow a.m. early.

Need to finish up here in the kitchen and go soak.
I don't know if I'll be back or not. If not, sweet dreams when y'all go.

I think we're supposed to be in the 70s tomorrow too, but just for that one day...supposed to rain this weekend again.

I am soooooo glad the day is over...it came down to the wire getting those last minute tax documents out for that new client...that was a total mess to sort through and wasted a lot of my day...but we got it done...on the positive side, boss gave me another small raise today, so that was nice.

Boys are out at a concert tonight, so have the house to myself...and I have now taken not cooking to a whole new level...since the boy wasn't here to go get us dinner, I ordered food from a local restaurant and had it delivered with that new Waitr app...was pretty cool, and worth it to me. ;)

    Good morning lovely lurkers.

Felt like something my cat left in her litter box when I got up this morning. A shower helped to feel a bit more human, but it's definitely settling into my chest...will see how it goes today, but I may take tomorrow off...all I wanna do is go back to bed right now...thank goodness KC provides us with plenty of warm coffee!

Hope everyone has a nice day.

Quickly flyby. Hope you all are having a great week and I hope you feel better soon Angel. Flying solo the past few days. So it’s crazier than it’s ever been I think. Kiddo has early activities before school and soccer started back up one night a week. I agree with KC, I think that’s who said it. I’m ready to go to sleep and sleep til March.
    Good morning everyone :)

No power no problem I have dealt with it before. Back in the 70’s there was a blackout the covered the 5 boroughs for a couples of days in the summertime. Around 2005-6 when I lived in Rochester NY an ice killed power for more than 24 hours maybe two days, I bbq’ed my meals because I did not have a gas stove lol
Was that the October storm? I remember that one around that same time. Damaged so many trees. Looked really bad for a very long time around here. We lost power as well but for a short time.

    Good evening all. :)

Sorry you are feeling so badly. I hope it doesn’t last too long. That app sounds awesome. glad you had a quiet night. Wish you felt better.

Things are ok. Just busy here. ;)

    Good afternoon all. :)
My check up went well. :nun:

Angel I think it would be a fabulous idea to take off tomorrow! Stay in bed, or on the sofa and get some extra rest. :)

Sara, sounds like you're extra super busy! Hang in there!

Joey, keep that super cold weather up there.
It was snowing like crazy with some freezing rain mixed in when I was at my Dr. appt.
On the way home, got just a little outside city limits and there wasn't anything.

...not a lot going on here. Grabbed a few grocery items/paper products, etc. at DG on the way home, did a few of my normal chores, had lunch and napped....of course, the never ending laundry....

Going to go stitch a bit. Have a good rest of the afternoon. :)

Well I would have loved to take tomorrow off but unfortunately the bosses will be leaving in the morning to go to a memorial service that is being done for their daughter where she went to college...they'll also be announcing the creation of a scholarship in her name for students in her field...so that means someone has to run the office...which of course means me.:glare:
