Good morning, and Happy 4th! I hope you all have a safe and happy holiday today whether you are going somewhere or staying home. Don't plan on going anywhere myself. We will just enjoy a quiet day at home. I have my roof area tarped over and not going to open it back up as we are expecting some decent rain today by around lunchtime and continuing through tomorrow. We really need it, so no complaints here. Time for some breakfast.

We watched fireworks last night from the patio. Was really nice, but so humid that the display wasn't so crisp as normal. Lots of smoke hanging since there was no breeze, but still and all, a nice display.
...I even mopped a little today.
Just puttering around here, been doing laundry, and some cleaning...definitely staying on the cool/ac side of the door. It's positively miserable outside.
Thought about getting in the pool, it's 92 degrees, not exactly refreshing.

Lori, I am so bad about disconnecting/unplugging from the Internet. I use it as my way to decompress from the day. Mostly reading here and other forums, checking Facebook. I should pick up the newspaper or a novel instead

Been hot here too, but it's storming again now, so has cooled off. About to head off for a steak dinner with the boy...first time I've eaten out in 3 months, but figured I've been good on my diet, so we deserve it.
