Yes, it's been miserably hot for them, but they do have fans in the shop, and after the sun goes down, it cools off a little.
But yeah, he's been coming home drenched from sweating.
And yes again, he does love it, and has commented that this has been an experience of a lifetime for him.
He feels so lucky to have been able to be a part of something like that.
The JD Dealership where we work is the local Golf and Turf Dealer who is the equipment supplier and service provider, so one of the turf mechanics from our store has also been a volunteer in the shop, working with the regular mechanics that work at the golf course.
Somewhere I heard that there are about 4500 volunteers, hailing from 19 different states, and some from other countries.
Here's a short one that shows what DH is doing in the shop.
It's a couple minutes long.
This one is not quite 4 minutes, shows the grounds crew/volunteers running equipment and such.
This also shows a lot of the equip. that DH sells.
Volunteering for something of that scale, yes. That’s cool Lori, is this his first time?

CoolVolunteering for something of that scale, yes.
He started as a mechanic where we work, 20 years ago, then progressed up through the company to road sales.
So, the equipment side is not new at all.
Okay, I'm off to take Rita for an overnight to the sitter.
Have a good rest of the evening all.![]()

)...but I do make my own meals at least twice week, I just usually wait until the weekend so the bf can do the cooking! Yes I'm lazy, but also smart enough to have found someone who likes to cook!

Maybe I will have the house redone by the time I get to retire. LOL
