Hahaha. Tomorrow’s family dinner consists of pork roast, mashed potatoes, roasted sweet potatoes, carrots and salad. Mmmm.

When I first started my job, the cold months were all I could get as far as time off. After all this time, I’ve grown used to it and don’t mind it so much. So that’s why I end up with all this time at the end of year.
    Tomorrow’s dinner sounds great!

Wish I could stay home all winter curled up nice and warm in the house with coffee and a book ;)

Thanks, we had a roast in the freezer we needed to use up. Perfect time to do it, with the whole family coming.

I agree, that was another pro to having time off in the winter......less days of driving 45 min to work in the bad weather. :thumb:

I’m gonna go catch up on some tv. Sweet dreams Dale and lurkers.

I owe, I owe, its off to work I go.

2WW am glad to see someone else here from KS. I am in south central KS myself.

    Good Morning, KC and all
    Lurkers

Howdy neighbor, it's good to know someone else lives in KS :) . I'm in north-east KS. Are you able to vape inside of places where you live? The biggest city I live near, about 20-25 minutes from my home, banned it in all buildings.

Really? :?: I was thinking Kansas got quite a bit of snow :?:

Normally I would agree with you on the shopping but this was a personal pleasure trip ;)

So KS is a state that doesn’t get a ton of snow, I gather. Not fair to make you deal with tornados and snowstorms, I suppose.
Good morning, Dale and Sara Love
Lately, O' the last several years it hasn't snowed all that much. A couple inches here and there, nothing major. But, in other parts of KS gets dumped on, like right to my west/southwest and north/northwest from where I live. Just like rain, it skips right on over, like there is a dome around this part of the country side.

Ah, otay :) . I still hate shopping even if it's for personal pleasure trip. But, I do like shopping to buy other people gifts, ya know like for birthdays :) and such; does that make sense? I'm weird  I know ;)

I'll take the snow storms than those :censored: nasty tornadoes :nah: . Tornadoes scare the hell outta me  .

Are you looking forward to going or is it a bit of a chore?
Heavens no, won't even start that.
I enjoy myself once I get there, the rest is a chore.
    Good morning, LoriP
Thank you  . Glad you didn't get any frozen precip :) . Maybe next time it will snow enough for one, I'm hopeful ;) .
If, I don't post on here before you leave.... Have safe travels and enjoy your trip
    You have nice day :)
Thank you so much!! Looking at the weather between here and there, looks like the snow will be tomorrow for them, so should be fine for us!

Your dinner sounds wonderful, and sounds like you've had a very productive vacation!!

Have been limiting my online time lately, trying to unplug more. ;)
Not a lot going on here, have been horribly cold since Friday afternoon, warmed up today though.
We had a tiny bit of snow Friday night, that melted earlier...all gone!

Heading off to nap! Ready to go close my eyes for a bit.
    BBL. :)

    some sacrificed all
Loved this one so much, I didn't even go look for another one to post!
I've been watching some of the different services on TV, so moving!!

My Grandfather served in WWI, and my Dad at the very tail end of WWII.
Germany had surrendered before Dad was finished with basic training.
Dad graduated in 48 so everything was pretty much done.
He did go to Italy to help coordinate bringing back equipment though.

I agree, today went fast!
Some sort of frozen precipitation will greet us for the morning commute...so our weather advisory says. :nah:
They say 100% rain tomorrow then a low of 29 tomorrow night for us  Hope we don’t get an ice storm

DH said it sleeted this morning

I’ve already informed my boss I’m not working in freezing weather with no heat :?:
