Meeting took up way too much time and to be honest I'm hoping we don't take them on as a client...would add way too much work for us and we don't have the time now as it is....But at least I did get to leave work on time for once.

The boy should be here for about a week. His gf will be flying in on Christmas Eve, and then they'll drive back together next Wednesday or Thursday.

I'm not cooking Christmas dinner this year...I had originally planned to, but since my oldest won't be back until sometime in January, I'm just not feeling it. The twins were fine with that. They'll get a nice meal at their dad's. And I'll get a nice meal at the bf's, so it's all good.

Good evening lurkers

Dale, whatcha making for Christmas dinner? I’m hearing from a lot of people that Sunday is the day of choice to celebrate (as to not interfere with others plans). We are going to my grandpa’s on Sunday. Will be nice to see the whole extended family. Haven’t been able to go the last few years because it was always Christmas Day and I was busy at home prepping for our dinner.

Angel, sorry all the boys won’t be home together :( but I’m so glad you’ll get to see all of them within a few weeks of each other. Not the same, I know.

We are doing Italian here. Lasagna, meatballs, salad, bread. I’m going to attempt a cranberry cake for dessert. Plus we’ll have cookies galore.

Hiya, Joey *waves* I see you stopped by ;)

I’m whooped. Sweet dreams lurkers

Hope you don’t have to take on a new client Angel.

Sounds like you have Christmas all worked out :thumb:

Going to be a little different Sara, we’re having petit jean ham, dressing, bbq beans, green bean casserole, possibly cold potato salad, rolls, pies, cookies, smoked turkey breast, deviled eggs ... that’s all I can think of at the moment

Hope your gathering is wonderful

Good night  Pretty tired myself ;)

    Good evening all.
Yes, Miss Rita slept all night last night, thank the Good Lord indeed!! :nun:
I was so worn out, I was in bed extra early too.

Angel, gosh I hope your company doesn't take on the new client as well, you've got to be bone tired!!
Sorry about the oldest not being back until Jan. :(
But sounds like you have good Christmas weekend plans all around.

Sara, thankful you're not terribly sore, I think moving helps a lot to keep it from getting tight, but if you had injured it moving ain't a gonna help. :D
Your Italian dinner with family sounds wonderful!!

Dale, yea that you're done for the week!! Woo HOO!!
Sounds like a feast will be had at your house too!!

*waving* to KC and Joey!

No idea what we'll be doing if anything yet.
We were planning food earlier, haven't heard from my brother/SIL yet, and not 100% sure they'll be home.
Between Christmas and New Year's we'll see them at some point, so I'm not concerned.
I hate that my family is all so spread out across the country, but that's just how it is, we stay in touch, and that's the important thing.
Will be glad for the long weekend though.

Going to surf a bit and maybe head to bed early again tonight. Could be that I need to get a wee bit more sleep than I've been getting lately. ;)
    Sure felt good last night.

    Sweet dreams all.

Woot!! Hopefully Rita let you sleep another full night, Lori. You are right about the injury/moving. Thank goodness it wasn’t worse. :nun: Family is so important, so it’s nice that you are close despite the distance.

Joey, your dinner sounds lovely also. Haha, there is a good chance of there being no leftovers. ;) off to google Rustica pie...

Hope you all have a wonderful day!!

Like a calzone basically, I buy a package of pie crust 2 in a pack. To make a small pie 1lb ricotta cheese a few slices of pepperoni, genoa salami, ham, swiss and mozzarella cheeses cut up into small pieces. Drain the ricotta for a day or two to get the water out, than add three eggs and all the cold cuts and cheeses in a bowl and mix it up with a mixer. Lay one pie crust on the bottom of a pan fill that up with the mix than cover it up with the second pie crust. Poke alot of holes in the top crust cover with aluminum foil. Set oven up to 350f and let it cook for an hour than take the foil off and finish cooking until the top crust is done. It is the bomb :drool:
