Hope your power stays on

When I lived in Brockport the power went out for 3 days in January!!!

2000 we lost ours about a week, deep snow. Was several days before we could get out and find a hotel. All electric house and no heat You better believe we got a kerosene heater after that

Yowsers!! I don’t think I’ve ever been without power for more than a few hours.

We drained the water off the cover of the pool a few days ago because it was getting pretty close to the top, now we’ll have to go out and add water to keep the cover from blowing away It’s just a tarp with water tubes holding it down and it was blowing pretty good with the winds the other day.

Dh tried the generator and we have gas for it if we need it.

How was everyone’s dinner? Ours was good and we had a zoom call with family so that was nice. We ended up with turkey breast, cheesey potatoes, stuffing, green beans and I made some dinner rolls. No room for dessert but we had the makings for strawberry shortcake. Dishes washed and put away. I’m ready for bed.

I hope everyone had a decent day!

We personally have power, blessed.

I ordered some stuff from Walmart a couple of weeks ago, about 5 items.
They split it into 3 shipments

The second is just now out for delivery

Yep, I ordered some stuff in the beginning of all this and it was 5 shipments for like 7 small things. What a waste. Felt terrible for the fedex guy. I can only imagine what he was thinking.

Well, good news, with all this rain we are getting we won’t have to refill the cover. Mother Nature is doing a fine job for free

We are going to get high winds here also with lower temps also. Temps will remain in the 40’s during the day with night time temps below freezing. I hate this time of year!!
