Oh nice! Love pork roast too :thumb:

I didn't know healthy and dessert could be used in the same sentence o_O

:lol::lol::lol:

Hahaha. I said healthier, not healthy. As long as there is no chocolate or ice cream involved it HAS to be healthier, right?

Also, I wanted to say Thank You, the quotes you find and post are inspirational. I love them and look forward to them. :hubba::)

@LoriP1702 I went ahead and bought Lulu's Kitchen for kindle, and checked out the gumbo recipes, and yep, she talks about it pretty much the same way my cajun friend did when teaching me. Looks like some good recipes in there to try. Thanks for the tip.:)

Morning y'all!

Good Morning everyone!! Hope you all have a good day!! Feel better soon MB. Glad your chili was super good Angel, bet it was worth the wait. :)

Good morning Fran, OBG, MB, Dale, Lynn kad, Sara and Lurkers :)

Sorry forgot some quotes lol
Good morning everyone.

OBG, heading over to check that link!! Thanks for posting that.

MB, sorry you're still not feeling well. :(
So glad it's your weekend off and you get to stay home.

Sara, I think there's a recipe for a fruit dip that's a little healthier than many recipes...
I think it's whipped cream, and marshmallow cream??
I think there's a variation of it with caramel too...I'd have to google.
But if you serve fruit, you can have yours without the fruit dip, but others can still have the dessert aspect, or you can just have a tiny bit.
Baked apples is another great idea, and with them in season that's a good option too!!
Now I want some fruit.

Dale, lovely breakfast spread, as always!!
Now I'm ready to eat breakfast too.

Oh, I hear DH stirring...he was up super late watching a race out of Japan.
I was up til about midnight reading and playing Mahjong.

Oh, and @kad2371 look for the L.A. (Lower Alabama) Caviar recipe.
I have not made it, but my sister has, she said she could eat the whole bowl by herself.
The hard bound Crazy Sista cookbook is really nice, loads and loads of pics.

I know...that's why I haven't tried it. Not sure that I like them, but just thought I'd mention it in case you or your family does like them.
I'll prob try it sometime though, only because my sister raves about it.

Sorry Kad but I LOVE those Black Eyed Peas! And the ones you eat too!:lol::lol:
Not sure I've ever had the kind you eat. Of course my feelings towards the music might be colored by the fact that my then 12 or so year old daughter wouldn't stop singing "My Humps" nonstop when it was popular. Not something I really wanted my little girl singing.
