In your nightmares
Good morning Sara
Happy Friday to you ;)

Aw Joey!
Been missing you :)
Hiya Dale

I miss you ladies also  Work and my daughter are making me nuts. She does not want to go to school, she has missed more days than she has gone. Work takes up way to much of my time with 12 hr shifts with no end in sight anytime soon. I am worn out, we are so short handed at work because they can not get anyone to come in to apply for a job.

Wonder what’s going on at school to make her be like that or was she always that way?

‘I noticed on my way to the store a lot of places were advertising for help :?: Everyone wants to hire on-line now and I never did figure out how to use that system

Good evening Dale and Joey

I’m sorry, Joey. I can’t imagine what you are going through. Has she said why she doesn’t want to go?

I hate that you guys are short staffed.
Guess you’re ready for the weekend ;)

    Supper was mostly veggies :)

She doesn’t want to wear a mask

There are plenty of jobs out there, people just are not applying for them.

Good morning Dale and lurkers

Yeah we were just talking about this at dinner, how no one wants to work and companies being short staffed or smaller ones having to close. It’s ridiculous. Too many handouts for too long and I’m sure there are some who are simply afraid of the virus and not wanting to be in public. Though I suspect a majority is the first reason.

Maybe she doesn't like the kind of mask she’s wearing. Have you tried different ones? Kiddo doesn’t like the “surgical” ones, that I wear. His cloth have adjustable ear loops. He also has a couple sports ones that he wears for gym/soccer. But those are a little pricier. I will say those ear loops are the softest and there is good space between face and mask. I will look for pics.

Definitely ready for the weekend, Dale. :D Guess I was tired, I slept 9:30-7:30. Your dinner looked great! Green beans and carrots. Yum! Better get a move on, lots to do.

We bought a bunch of the athleta ones over the summer when masks weren't required as much and they were $5 a pack. Of course now that masks are required again the price jumps back up  they have more colors too.

He has 2 of the under armor sports masks due to the price.

She has a bunch of masks to wear including custom ones, she just does not want to wear a mask. Neither do I at work because it is so hot in the plant, make me feel like I have a wet diaper on my face . I put the mask on at work but I don't cover my nose and mouth unless I am close to someone o_O I will wear one if I go to the store though. I am so anti social right now I hardly talk to anyone anymore

Uggg Joey. Tell her that yes, it does stink that masks are required right now but it’s non negotiable. Have her go through the masks she does have and pick out the ones she hates the least, then see about getting more of those. Same with school, it’s non negotiable. She has to go, every day, no ifs ands or butts.

I know she’s having a rough go and I’m so sorry for that. Children shouldn’t lose a parent this young. You have a lot on your plate and this only makes it harder. We want the best for our kids. Does she have someone she can talk to, therapist wise? Maybe your pedi can suggest someone. We did it over the phone last year - because of covid - with kiddo. He is an anxious kid at times. Would get himself all worked up to the point of tummy issues. It was nice doing it over the phone and not having to worry about getting him to appointments. She gave him some exercises to do when he felt the anxiety creeping up and it seemed to work for him.

If I’m overstepping feel free to tell me to myob ;) (((hugs)))

She has many masks she picked out so I don't know, she doesn't talk about anything with anyone so again I don't know. I have tried just about everything so far and not really getting any results except my stress levels increased. She doesn't want to be home schooled either, leaves me with not many options. If she takes anymore days off I will have to pull her out of school to avoid having the police and child service problems. I may have to change my job soon if I have to pull her out of school.
