Good morning Dale and Fran

Uh oh Dale, hope you have everything.

Made it half a day and decided I’d had enough. Spent most of the morning in the bathroom blowing my nose. Despite my best effort of keeping this cold at bay, it had a mind of it’s own. Would have been alright had my nose stopped running. :nah:

    Good morning Dale

My echo/stress test was today. Originally scheduled for 1pm and then they called changed it to 8am. I was going to work part of the day and ended up taking the whole day.

Just got home and so thankful I didn’t have to reschedule due to this stupid cold. The cardiologist said everything looked good as far as the stress test. Not sure if he’s the one who reviews the echo or not.

Now I’m snuggled under my electric blanket with some hot tea, cold meds, soft kleenex and Hallmark movies

Just what the doctor ordered I bet!

Got my hen boiled, stock cooling down. One dozen eggs boiled and peeled, all came out perfect :thumb: Later I’ll cook a big batch of cornbread for the dressing and may go ahead and make the sweet potato casserole. That way the biggest things I’ll need to make tomorrow will be the ham and dressing.

Thanksgiving is officially cancelled with family. Mixed feelings on that. DH was exposed to covid yesterday at work. He went and had a rapid test done today to confirm his current symptoms are indeed just a cold. Test came back negative. So now he will need to isolate from us and will redo the test in a couple of days to make sure he doesn't have it.

Oh no Sara! I’m so sorry to hear that :( Hopefully it’s not Covid!

Look at you getting all that stuff out of the way for tomorrow. Great idea. :thumb: Maybe I should start cooking now.
Well as I’ve gotten older it takes more out of me so splitting it up helps. Cornbread is done and sweet potato casserole is in the oven, I told DH to bring supper home

Tomorrow the ovens will be busy with ham and chicken and dressing ... and yeast rolls of course  We have to put them in the bathroom with the heater on as it’s always too cool in the house for them to rise
There’s enough butter in all this stuff to choke a horse

Thanks. I hope it’s not too.

    Butter makes everything better ;)

I definitely agree. Thanksgiving meals are exhausting. The timing of everything coming together.
