First of all, let me say it is so nice to be back on my laptop. That darn phone did weird things and I never could find ECF on Tapatalk like I used to do. Sheesh! Got on my reserve nerve.

Now, let me say I missed y'all my fantabulous forum family friends! Sounds like you all had a fantastic start to the new year. I hate to admit but mine started off with me being slightly disappointed. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy Terry's fireworks (from far away) but I was looking forward to being kissed on New Year's finally. I can't ever remember being kissed unless it was that one party my ex took me to and their dog licked me at midnight.

Oh well, like you quoted dale, "let it go". heehee

But I remember being a kid and wanting to watch the ball drop.
Every year for as long as I can remember, my dad waited for someone to ask him if he was going to watch the ball drop this year and he would always answer with. . . "I do that every night."

Yes it’s good advice even though most of us tend to ignore it ;)
As always, your Sunday message is so inspirational. My gosh, it is almost like you are trying to help me. Might be because I need the most help.

It is just a wonderful way to start the day and I so look forward to it. Thank you for taking the time to post them. (and don't stop

I have always loved sunrise and sunset. It is especially magical when it happens over water, for me anyway. When I see it come up, I know that I have one more day to find a way to make myself a better person and find happiness where I can and when I see it go down, I know that I gave it my best shot and I want to try again tomorrow. I tried to load two pictures but they were too large. When I get some time I will try to resize them.

I had an amazing trip and was not ready to come back home. My tiny brain is already coming up with things I want to do. heehee I mentioned several things to Terry and he seemed agreeable. I asked him if he would spend a long weekend at White Lake. It was a place where we would take the kiddos when they were very small. As far as you could walk out in the water, you could look down and see your toes wiggle. It was such clear water. I had some happy memories there the couple of times we took the children.

I also asked him if he had ever gone to Branson, where they have all the live music. I would like to take a tour bus trip there and he said that sounded like something he would like to do too. YAY!

It is still beautiful and warm where I came from and this morning it is so cloudy here. I feel like we have some rain on the way. I am going to make myself get up from here and go get back into my gym routine. It was a good break from walking but the truth is I missed it. I did not get a chance to walk near as much as I would have liked to. Terry did not seem interested when I said I was going to take a walk after dark. He asked me if I would, stay close to his place. When I told him I would be fine he explained that there were bears in the woods across the street. That little tidbit of information curtailed my desire to walk alone.

Being a buffet for a Yogi would have definitely put a damper on my first outing as a free woman and I would have gotten a lot more than a little BooBoo. (get it? Yogi and BooBoo)

More of my trip adventures will follow. (bless your hearts) Have a wonderful day!

Oh, I really did dale. I am not a huge firework person but Terry had fun. Sometimes I think I expect too much. I probably read too many romance novels where everything works out so perfectly. heehee It could happen and as long as I don't give up, I'm good.

Had a wonderful (and much-needed) workout. Made me feel better and I came home and blew out the gutters before it starts raining. I was going to get the leaves up when there were only two on the trees. They're all on the ground now but I am not the least bit motivated to mulch them. We are going to have rain for several days so I will get ready to do the job. Maybe, maybe not.

Fixed a huge salad for supper that had grilled chicken on it. Very tasty and easy too. I like easy.

Hope everyone had a nice day.

Good evening Rat2  Was an okay day, had an audiologist appointment this morning so had to go into town.

Ummm well it seems you’ve really discouraged Terry from any romance so I would imagine he thought a midnight kiss was a hard no

Oh no that has definitely changed. It has switched to encouragement.

He was busy with his fireworks and I was standing way, way back because I am afraid of them and I did not want the wind to blow a hot ash on me.

If Terry only wants companionship, that is fine with me. I have always enjoyed his company. As long as he keeps doing things and going places. This o'l girl is NOT going to sit at home unless she wants to.

It is still 65 degrees outside and I am sitting here almost shivering because I am so cold. I have on 2 pairs of socks for goodness sake. I am not sure what is wrong with me. I do not think I am coming down with anything. I wonder if my iron is low. I better start supplementing just in case.

I have not had a chance to experiment with my new microwave that airfrys but Terry's oven air-fried the best french fries I think I have ever had. I am going to have to google what all can be fixed that way. Someone told me brussels sprouts were really good. I love them any way you fix them.
