Well, I just hate reading about the snowy weather. It has been so nice this weekend. I even got the mower out and went over the front yard and field.
My aunt had asked dad to let her get on his mower and of course, he never would (he wouldn't even let me) so Saturday I called her and told her to meet me in the field because I was going to teach her to drive it. It scared her and she cut it off after just a little way but I talked her into getting back on it because that is what you do when something scares someone. After the 3rd time, she gave up. She really did not go very far at all. It was only my 3rd time so I know how intimidating it can be. She had fun though and that is all that matters.
I ended up taking boiled shrimp down there with a sleeve of Ritz crackers and some grapes. That is what we had for supper. I bought a tray of shrimp at Aldi's because it was only $6.99 and looked good. The cocktail sauce was real tasty. We counted out tails and that container had 37 good-sized shrimp in it. I might have to get that again.
Today was another beautiful day so I made a quick trip to WallyWorld and came home because I had a package delivered from Amazon. Late afternoon I got my 10,000 steps in walking up and down my driveway while I read my book. Reminded me of before the gym. It is nice when the weather is good. I enjoyed the fresh air.
It was a fast week and a faster weekend for me. Other than my wash, I did not accomplish much. Went shopping on both days. Went to Gabe's because I had $5 off a purchase of $25 and then went to my thrift store. Bought another bra, a strand of white Christmas lights, and a harmonica. I used to have 3 went I was married. They could not find them when they tossed my stuff out. Oh well, no biggie. I always played the ones in the key of G. This one is a little one in the key of C. It will give me something to mess around with again.
Hope everyone has a great start to your week and I hope it is just as fast as last week. Not for me but for those who work. I wouldn't know what day it was if I didn't have a cell phone.
It was not a big deal for me because I was not allowed to do anything fun before I was 13 or after.
But I do remember when my kids got that age. I am sure it is a lot different now than it was 24 years ago.

Joey, I do love waffles but I have never had corn beef hash. I'll have to try that one day. Glad y'all had a good time. You now have a teenager. That's a pretty big milestone for both of you.Waffles for her and eggs with corned beef hash for me

The necklace and pendent is the gift I gave to her, something to remember Sue. She had a name at work that was lunalight, part of the pendent can glow if it is charged.
I was so sleepy that when I went to bed, I had a hard time finishing the chapter I was on. But then, I wake up and I've only been asleep for an hour and a half and now, I can't go back to sleep. Grrrr I am grateful for the couple of nights rest I just had but it appears to be back to my usual.
