Awww Rat2, I’m sorry you didn’t have any chocolate. Sorry I made you get out from under that cozy blanket too ;) lololol

I know I said good night, but we just finished hiding Kiddo’s eggs and despite my body being whooped I’m not tired. I pretty much got everything accomplished that I wanted to except that dang ice cream cake. That was for my stepdad and maybe me lol But I know he will enjoy the cobbler too. Funny story about that……when he was dating my mom he made it for us once (I’d never had it before and I fell in love) I would always ask for it and he would promise when the peaches were in season. Except they were never “in season” that often. Now I totally understand he was a busy step parent. But dummy teenage me never bothered to figure out exactly when peaches were IN season. Lolol. At my bridal shower, obviously many years later, my step grandma gave me her recipe……………….canned peaches:lol::lol::lol: I still tease him to this day about those darn peaches. Fortunately we happen to have peaches that we got from The Peach Truck (I believe located in Georgia) a year or two ago, that we canned ourselves. And I still have my step grandma’s recipe

The sun was back out today and it was beautiful. I took a short walk with my ex-bro-in-law (his plantar fasciitis was bothering him). So I went to a garden nursery and bought myself some plants. Retail therapy always seems to do the trick. heehee I got two beautiful red Geraniums for the front porch and a Tropical Hibiscus and Elephant Ear plant for the enclosed back porch that I am trying to make me, and two little grape tomato plants. I probably should have gotten more of those based on the amount I buy now. I love eating those.

I did not want to come home so I called my cousin and took Chinese food over to her house to eat. It was soooooo good and she enjoyed it also.

Came home and finished getting my 10,000 steps done and now I am just googling about how to take care of the plants I bought. I do not have a green thumb although, the African Violet plant I bought 79 days ago is still living. YAY! I do love plants. I still think I need a palm/tropical-looking tree out there. I plan on enjoying that back porch this year. If I stay home long enough.

A little chilly but the sun was bright and when the wind was not blowing, it warmed me nicely during my walk. I have enjoyed walking in the sunshine but I will be glad tomorrow to go back to the gym. If I thought I was going to live where I am, I would buy myself a treadmill for sure. I love the constant pace.

The grass needs mowing desperately but after all that rain, it is just too damp to mow. That lawnmower is so big it has to be completely dry. So instead, I got out dad's battery hedge clippers and started on the Boxwood bushes at the front of the house. I can't remember how many there are although I have counted them before. I think it is around 38. I have thought about tying a rope to every other one and pulling half of them up. heehee Oh well, it gave me something to keep me busy.

I finished up the leftover General Tsu's chicken that I pickup last night at my fav little Chinese restaurant. I think it is only the 3rd time I have been in there since I moved in with Dad and they still remember me by name. That seems amazing to me. He even said he was not sure that was me because I had lost so much weight. I evidently leave an impression on people.

I have bloodwork tomorrow and I am keeping my fingers crossed that the new thyroid medication is the right dosage. Always something to take care of.

Hope everyone is having a great week.

Oh, I got the plants I bought yesterday repotted and they look nice even though they are in cheap plastic containers. I may buy some nicer ceramic pots after the season when they go on sale. If I can get the to live through the summer, I will bring them into the house when it gets cold.

You know how I like flamingos and I thought it was funny tonight when I took out the little name tags. The name of the Tropical Hibiscus is Pink Flamingo Wind. I am not sure why that made me chuckle but I think it was the mental picture I got of a big hot pink flamingo passing gas.

The type Calla Lilly says it is called First Love. I found that a little depressing since I divorced mine. But the Elephant Ear plant was called Heart of the Jungle. I liked that one too. I am not sure if I am going to put the two grape tomato plants in pots or in the ground yet. I'm still thinking I should go get a few more since I eat so many.

Okay, I am going to go read and hopefully get some sleep tonight.
