Good evening lurkers

Thank goodness the day is over. First customer of the day I had speak with a supervisor AND the state on his paperwork. Wanna know what I got??? Bleep you, you bleeping bleep. I said have a great day as he stormed off. People were absolutely nasty today. My day did get better, Dh stopped by on my lunch with a treat (small iced cappuccino and a chocolate chip cookie from Tim Horton’s) I had told him about the meanies (yes, there were more) I had waited on.

Joey, hope your appt went well and you are able to go back to work.

We had cheeseburgers, leftover potatoes and fresh asparagus. Good thinkin’ Dale getting ahead for the week. :)

Hope it was a good finale, Dale! Fingers crossed today is better ;)

Yum! Joey. Happy to hear you get to go back to work and super cool that you guys made dinner together.

    Have a great day everybody!
Good morning Sara  Yes! Hopefully today will be much better for you.

Eh NCIS was okay … we’ll actually it was kinda boring  There was a cliff hanger of course with Torre’s threatening to go rouge and kill a man who wronged his sister or mother, not sure which.

    Good evening everyone

Dr released me for work, I start tomorrow afternoon

Daughter helped make dinner she breaded pork chops that I fried up in a cast iron pan sides were fries and corn
Congratulations Joey  I know it’s what you wanted. Hopefully you still feel that way after your first night

    Good evening lurkers

Yay!! Glad you’re doing ok on your first night back, Joey.

Bummer that your show was kinda dull, Dale lol. No one swore at me but it was a circus there today. Couple more days.

Sitting here at the kitchen table waiting to leave for the game. I should be in my pjs with my feet up. I feel like I could take a nap right about now  We had noodles with red sauce and mozz cheese for dinner. Kiddo likes having pasta before he plays.

Hope everyone has a quiet evening!!

    Good morning lurkers

Still feeling good, Joey? Hopefully so.

Dale, what is in a sunflower crunch salad? I love sunflower seeds.

We did not get home until after 10:30. I was asleep by 11. Not a single goal
to be made by either side which is better than a loss. It was cold and I am feeling a wee bit zombie-ish. Fingers crossed that 5 o’clock comes quickly.

    Have a great day everyone!

Good morning everyone. The little adventurer has returned and is quite content might I add. heehee
    1YES.gif

You cannot believe how proud I am of stepping out of my comfort zone and enjoying life. I drove for a little over 5 hours and never once got scared. Well there was one time that me and another truck had to drive off the lane into the shoulder to pass a car that was stopped. It did not scare me at the time but about 10 minutes later, I start getting clammy and thought about what could have happened. But then I was proud of myself for reacting so fast and handling it the way I did.

I also do not have the words to express my wonderful long weekend at that beautiful cabin partly in the water. (if they had been calling for torrential rains, it would have scared me to death) heehee
1cabin.jpgWe slept with the sliding door open so we could hear the water and this is the view I saw every morning (after I put on my glasses) heehee

1bedroomview.jpg It was amazing. That rocking chair is where I had my morning coffee (and donut) holding hands with a very nice guy who for some reason seems to really like me. coffee.jpg After we started drinking he handed me his coffee cup and said this says it all about how he felt about me. coffeecup.jpg (I think he is a romantic and I was sopping that up like biscuits with gravy):hubba:

That wonderful man cooked my supper two nights on an open wood firepit. There was no propane tank for their gas grill so he improvised. One night we had ribeyes, baked potato, and salad. And the other night we had grilled Italian sausages, corn on the cob, and salad. The man even took me out to eat several times and got me to eat a big breakfast and a lunch. My tummy was like what the heck are you doing and don't stop.

He asked me if I like flea markets and antique stores and spent most of Saturday visiting several he found close by. I had such a wonderful time and talked to everyone I met. And he did too. Such a friendly guy. We have so many things in common that it is almost scary. He played music on a Bluetooth speaker all weekend and I bet there were not 2 songs that I had never heard from his personal playlist. We sat swinging on the front porch for hours listening and he even sang along to the songs. (not a bad singer at all and I loved that too). swing.jpg

I can't add any more pictures to this post so I am going to have to continue in another one. You had to know I was going to have a mega post.

‘What a beautiful place! I’m thrilled you had such a wonderful time. :)
Does he own the place or was it a rental?

    Good morning everyone

Did not really do much at work last night, my arm is doing ok.
    Good morning Joey
Just ok huh? Glad you didn’t have to strain last night, a few nights like that would probably be good for you. :)

Just spent an hour slicing, dicing and packing up a 13 pound ham, going to make a big pot of pinto beans soon. ;)

    continued. . .

They had a glass shower that was only for one but they had a beautiful old claw foot tub and I had the most awesome bubble bath that I have ever had in my life. bubbles.jpg I think the red light bulb added to it too.

    heehee

I only took like 68 pictures and I would love to post them all but I just picked out a few to share and I hope you don't mind. It was all so much more than I was expecting and I was expecting something pretty darn good.
    1YES.gif

You want to know the really weird thing? I am not sure if it was the adventure itself or the sound of the water or just the fact that I was so darn happy, but I slept the best I had in many, many years. I hit almost 9 hours the first night and 8 1/2 half the second. Then 6 and a half. I get home and last night it was back to a little over 4. grrrr
    mad.gif
That's okay. It was still wonderful. Maybe I should play water sounds in my bedroom and see if that was it. I also wonder if it was just because I was happy, safe, and felt protected for the first time in so long that I could just let myself sleep peacefully. I don't know but it was fantabulous.

Of course, all things must come to an end and this was no different. I hated packing up and leaving that little fantasy cabin. I suppose knowing that Dan was going back to Florida and I was going back to the house I live in was part of the sadness. I have spent the weekend with Dan several times and each time it just gets better and better and harder to walk away. I enjoy talking, laughing, cutting up, eating, shopping, listening to music or just sitting quietly. (yes I do that sometimes)
    1laugh.gif
    heehee

Believe it not, I am already thinking about what my next adventure will be and I can't wait. Thanks for letting me share all this with you. Just posting this makes me feel elated all over again.

Hope every one is having a wonderful week and I am sure, I am going to bore you with my life some more.
    1YES.gif
    I just can't help it.
