    Good morning lurkers :)

Not a good season for peas this year. Some of the fields are not growing consistently enough to keep the plant running. The peas are actually good though.
Hum, maybe the plant should go back to 8 hour shifts eh ;)

Hi all! My leg is not healed but much improved. I still cannot bend over but I am walking a little bit better with a brace on my thigh. I took a very short motorcycle ride yesterday on Perry's bike. It is a little easier than my bike. Once I got on it was ok until I had to get off. heehee

You know how I love doing things for the first time. Perry and I made 32 pints of homemade salsa and it is the best I have ever had. We went to eat Mexican last night and their salsa was just blah! We stopped at a bar that is close to Perry's house. The people were really nice. I was talking to a woman and I said that I did not drink and she was telling me that I would probably like a Buttery Nipple because it was smooth and did not burn. Next thing I know, this older man came over and had bought me one. Just one little shot. The woman I talked to was correct. It was sweet and smooth. I think it would be good in my coffee.

Wednesday, Perry, his surrogate mother, and I will be blanching 25 dozen ears of corn to be frozen. There is something wrong with a man that does not like corn on the cob so we have to cut it off. Sue and I said we would fix a couple of ears the right way. heehee Gonna be a whole lot of "shucking" going on around here. bahahahaha

Had a pretty bad storm last night and lost power for a couple of hours. I bet my crunchy grass is growing as I type. Perry hopes so because he wants to mow my yard again and I am going to let him. He really does love to mow. I think he likes my mower too.

Hope everyone is having a wonderful day. I went grocery shopping at WallyWorld so I an ready to prop my leg up and rest for a bit.

    Good evening y’all :)
Glad to see you pop in Rat2 but sorry to hear you still have trouble with your leg :(

We had a ribeye tonight with green beans and corn on the cob. It was good.

My friend was flown to the hospital in Little Rock, they managed to get the tube in his neck to his heart and things are looking up. Waiting for more information.

    Good evening everyone

Sorry about Sunday being the only day your body lets you sleep in, Dale. I'm glad things are looking up for your friend.

Hahaha, I too was hoping they'd switch you back to 8 hr shifts, Joey.

We have to do corn this year too, Rat2. We shuck as well even though I prefer it on the cob with copious amounts of butter and salt. The local farm that we get it from has their first corn of the season for sale this week. Super excited to get some for the 4th. We've done salsa in the past too. Glad to hear you are up and around. Hopefully a little more rest and you'll be as good as new.

We had cheeseburgs, fresh peas and tots for dinner. Hope everyone had a great day. I'm super tired, it was very busy today.

Good morning! Had a productive day yesterday. Today, the man who fixed my truck and car, is coming over to do the wiring for Perry in the room where I helped him pull up the 3 layers of flooring a couple of weeks ago. I am glad because now he can put the flooring down in that room. Right now, the floor is open and I am scared that I might wake up one night and see a ground hog looking at me or something. That sounds like something that might happen to me. heehee

OMgosh, I gps'd my bootay to the WallyWorld where Perry lives and it was much nicer than the one where I usually go. Well, as nice as a Walmart can be. Did not take me long to spend $63. I also filled up Perry's car that I have been driving. It has been a long time since I drove a smaller car but I like it. It is an older Lexus but it has a fantastic sound system in it. Perry is big on music which is one thing we have in common. I have never listened to much from the Grateful Dead but I find I really like Jerry Garcia.

When I went into labor with my son, I got to the hospital and upchucked in the parking lot. The security guard just looked at me and thought I was another deadhead because they had a concert in town that night. They did not realize I was in labor because I really did not look preggo so they left me in the lobby for a long time. But when they realized I was with child, they took me right on up. Good times. heehee It is funny the things we remember from so long ago. It is sad I can't remember what I ate two days ago.

Last night Perry's father invited us over for dinner again. This is the third time. He had made salmon patties which is one of my favorites. He asked me to put my phone number in his phone which may have been a big mistake. We will see. I helped him by making the font on his phone and laptop bigger for him to make it easier for him to read. You would have thought I did something miraculous. I may regret that too but I am pretty darn patient with older people. I showed him how to use YouTube. That might keep him busy a little bit. I know I love it.

Okay, I guess I have ran on enough. I am rather typpy today. heehee Hope everyone has a nice day.
