    Good morning lurker’s :)

‘’Going to be an interesting day at work with Chris and Rachel both out. Rachel has pregnancy diabetes and I’m praying God will keep her and the baby safe throughout the delivery .

Still raining here today, so grateful for it.

We’re doing a Wagu beef today, our first at the shop … it’s huge! And incredibly expensive

    Good afternoon lurkers :)

Wow Dale, that's cool. Hope everything goes well for Rachel.

Rat2, glad your knee was feeling better, hopefully it still is.

I'm off today through Veteran's Day, it's fall deep cleaning week  Went and voted this morning  and caught up on towels. Kinda taking it easy on my first day off.

Hope everyone is having a decent week!

Good evening Sara  That’s great that you’re getting extra time off  I worked 6 hours today instead of 4 since I was training a new guy.

We have a baby boy! Going to see him in the morning. 7# 10.5 oz, 19.5 inches long.

Helped Perry clean up at work most of the day yesterday. Decided to be lazy today. He went to work and I went to my friends house. Spent the whole day and enjoyed swinging on her porch and getting caught up.

I went to the Honda to leave and thought I'd check and make sure I locked the door. When I went back out to the car, there was a tiny Wren in there. The little guy wouldn't leave. I wouldn't have minded if he had used the bathroom before he tried to travel with me. Pooped all over the inside. Guess he was scared. I'm just glad he wasn't hiding. I'm not sure what I would have done if he'd made his appearance known to me while I was driving. Probably would have been one more soiled spot! heehee

Sorry about your car, Rat2  Definitely a positive he/she made themselves known prior to you pulling away.

Hope you all have a lovely day!

Leftover meatloaf for supper. I took out a bag of frozen corn from 2022 in Perry's freezer. I thought it would be freezer burnt but it was not and oh my, it was good. Can't wait to try the bags we froze back in the summer. As hard as it was to put up 80 quarts of corn, it will taste even better.

It was back to summer today. Would have been a good day to take a walk. My knee is so much better but I'm not ready to get my steps. I never thought I'd say it but I miss it.

I started looking for a freezer and boy, have appliances gone sky high. My friend offered me her upright freezer. I was looking for frost-free. I'm not sure how much trouble or how often it would be to maintain them. I am going to have to do something. I don't think I could get a pack of chewing gum in it right now. I've been making a little bit too much bone broth. I'll start drinking it when it gets cooler.

Hope everyone has had a great week. Happy Friday.

Don't you hate it when you have your mouth all ready for something tasty and when you get it. . . very disappointing. I should not complain because last night at the Moose was the first time I have ever not enjoyed my meal.

Now I know ribeye has a lot of fat on it. I think that is why it tastes so good. Last night no matter where I cut, it was fat and gristle. We could not eat it. They ran out of baked potatoes so they gave us french fries and they did not serve bread with it. That should be the 11th commandment. Thou shalt not serve breadless dinners.

Was not a total loss because the Ahi tuna appetizer was the bomb.

Also, they were hopping and had a decent band playing live music. I always love that. The night was also fun because Perry won $115 on the poker machines. I lost $100 but still had fun. I can see where those things are addictive but I stick with my rule that I will only lose half of what I put in.

I hope everyone has a wonderful Saturday. Weekends are nice whether you are sure what day of the week it is or not. As far as I am concerned, every day is Fri-YAY!
