I’m not sure we’re going to make it to 60 today Sara, it’s still pretty chilly. The rain has finished as predicted and we expect windy weather starting around 2 p.m. then the big drop. Morning temperatures are expected to be down to 22 … that’s Arkansas for you!

Good morning, Lurkers! The promised cold front arrived in good fashion. Down to 30º and will drop another degree or two by sunrise. And windy out. Going to be cold all week. Staying in today. It is cold in the house, too. The remodel on my house is getting close, but still need insulation and drywall, and the whole thing is on the north side, of course.

You have my sympathy for having to go out today I’m supposed to work tomorrow and Thursday, we’ve stopped working on Saturday already.

It just seems like it has been one thing after another. Pretty easy for me to catch you up. I had a nice holiday but ate too much. There's my New Year's resolution. (nothing special there because that is mine every year)
Finally found someone that would come and look at my old washer. It was rather sad when they said the part that needed replace was $800. Of course, the saddest part was paying $95 for 15 minutes work. Oh well, it is what it is. He suggested a Steam Queen washer. I had never heard of them but found out they are rather pricey. I am still doing research and washing at Perry's which is not bad at all.
New Year's was great because we went to the Moose and had filet mignon. It was awesome. You can tell you are getting old when you go out for New Year's and you are already home by 8:30.
Also when to the doctor and I have my knee repaired on the 28th. I am glad that they diagnosed the same thing I decided. I was hoping my meniscus would heal on its own but nope, mine is in two pieces. He said what he did would not help the arthritis I have in that knee and that I would need replacement at some point. I told him that point would be when I could not make it to the bathroom. Whatever it takes, I have got to get back to going to the gym and walking. I feel like that is some of my weight gain. I know it is part of my moods.
Perry had a terrible bout with gout. (heehee, I am a poet) He went to the doctor but the pain in his foot made him jump every 22 seconds for almost two days. I knew it was getting better because he was not hollering out as loud or jumping as high. Bless his heart and anyone who suffers with that condition. Since he just had a bout a little while ago, he has an appointment with a specialist. Maybe they will change his meds or something. Fingers crossed.
I also started the year off with someone trying to use my Discover card. Had to get a new card. Grrrr That seems to be happening more nowadays. It is no big issue. Just an inconvenience.
Well, as you can tell, my New Year started off not as I had expected but. . . it can only go up from here.

It’s pretty cold down here too , I think the high was 33 briefly. DIL found another job so I’m working Thursday and Friday this week weather permitting. They’re saying we’re going to get between 4 to 7 inches of snow starting Thursday afternoon through Friday, not much to you guys I’m sure but a problem for us. If we do get a significant amount of snow Randy may have to come get me

We finished up today at 12:30 which was a good thing as it also started sleeting then, sleeted enough to turn everything white then the snow started. Have already gotten a couple of inches and it’s supposed to continue through Friday. Work has been canceled for tomorrow so it’ll be a long weekend inside.
