Took the newer car to get the radio updated. As with about everything I do, I went to pick it up today, and they were not finished. I told Perry to leave and get his stuff done, and then the man told me they would have to keep it overnight. He said that as long as he had been working there, he had never seen a radio where the sound would come and go after installation. I'm sure he will figure it out. This is just so typical when I try to do something. Poor Perry had to drive 40 miles to pick me up again.

I didn't know what to get him for his birthday, so while we were there, I got him a backup camera installed on his truck. That is going to make hooking up the trailer much easier (and I don't have to stand there and guide him). It works great, but the man told him his radio his radiio was really outdated. I am thinking of getting him one of those for Christmas. It will be here in no time. The stores put out Christmas stuff about the same time the Halloween stuff was put on the shelves.. I think that is ridiculous, but what do I know?

Hope everyone is having a great week.

    Good morning lurkers :)

    Good evening everyone

Not much going on here other than work. We have about 4 more weeks of running full time then it will be partial runs of potatoes and a variety of beans.

    Now that is funny
    Hi Joey
I know you’ll be glad to go back to a more regular work week. :thumb:

    Isn’t it though?!

Not sure what it means to have the radio “updated “ but I hope they get it figured out for you and you get your vehicle back soon.

I’m with you about the holiday stuff and the stores ! Although with the cost of stuff nowadays I suppose it takes that long to get the stuff we need … spread out you know. Except for my husband and best friend I think I’ve got everyone a Christmas present. Those two are the hardest.

They either nicked a wire during installation or there's a loose pin in the connectors. Either way, an absolute pain in the backside to troubleshoot.

(and I don't have to stand there and guide him)

Not to mention, get blamed for being off by 3 inches.

Dash cam installation was easy peasy. Took all of 5 minutes. However, the :censored: app must have been created to irritate the hell out of people that know what they're doing. Signed up for cloud storage which supposedly works as the camera is in use as long as it's connected to a wifi network. No problem sez I, activate my hotspot and connect the camera. Then the app STILL insists on being connected to a wifi network (I usually do not have wifi activated on the phone unless I'm at home). Stupid app can't differentiate between a hotspot connection (which technically IS wifi) and a normal wifi connection. Garmin is going to get an earful on that one.

Other than that, it's a pretty slick setup. Can't even see it from inside the car (it's tucked behind the mirror) and you really have to look closely to see it from outside the car. The only issue I have (and it's my fault) is my toll tag blocks part of the view. Not sure if I'm going to do anything about it or not. We'll see. I'll upload some images later. For a tiny little device, it's pretty good.

Good morning lurkers, happy Saturday. :)

TGIF! Even though it was a short week, it sure didn't seem like it!

Looking forward to the week off during Thanksgiving next month. And then 2 weeks for Christmas. I'm beginning to like school schedules!
    Nice!
