My Turkey soup stock is taking longer then I planned so will cool off until later and I will finish it off tomorrow. No time tonight to debone and add the vegetables. But it does smell nice already. Must be the Bacon I wrapped the turkey in! Ha hah

I brought a carcass home from my sister's.
It's in the freezer tho - will probably do it up next weekend.

I always turn cooking something simple into a masterpiece or an overly complicated recipe but the taste is always amazing so since I enjoy it who cares. But letting it sit before I finish it tomorrow should give an even more wonderful flavor. Sort of like steeping my stock?

I always keep mine the kids don't know what to do with it :lol:I do:)

I am trying to convince a friend to make soup out of the carcass she brought home loaded with turkey but she says she isn't that kind of cook. Like DIY e-liquids it is easier than you think.

Ooooh Dumplings is giving me ideas! Yes definitely noodles in one and maybe rice but now turkey dumpling is making me salivate!

I like to do the dumplings first as it 'thickens' up the broth

Good afternoon all my lovely lurkers.

It's the BF's mom's birthday today...we'll be taking her out for dinner tonight...79 years old and she's still out running around every day...I hope I'm that active at that age. ;)

Momma, hope you feel better soon...this sick thing is getting to be a bad habit with you...now get better, you hear me?! ;):)

Joey, I'd go with the Vizio...we have 4 Vizios here at the BF's...love them!

Sara, sorry little man has that ear infection...hope he feel's better soon...those are definitely no fun...my oldest son was like Lynn's son and had serious problems with his ears when he was young...we went thru 2 sets of tubes before they finally put the "permanent" ones in and that worked...he also had his adenoids out when he was little as well...he had to do speech therapy for a while because he couldn't hear things right until he got those tubes....that poor kid has never gotten a break healthwise...first the ear problems, broken finger, staples in the head 3 times, and then diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at 9...but he's never let any of it bother him and even took over his own diabetic care 2 months after he was diagnosed. Funny thing is his brothers never had any kind of health problems at all...knock on wood. ;)

OBG, enjoy your second turkey day! :D

Hope everyone else is having a great Saturday!
