Good morning Lori :)

Hi Rachel! :)

Good morning Bobbi :)
Hi Lynn. :)

So much for a weekend of rest and relaxation

:p
Careful what you wish for.

Good morning everyone :)
Good morning OBG. :)
Was looking on NOAA's site, best I can find, based on their precipitation estimates, we had around 5 inches for yesterday.
I also talked to my friend in NC (Whiteville), she said they got 11 inches from the tropical storm last weekend.:shock::shock:
I can't even wrap my head around that!!

Fighter jet just went over. I couldn't seem it though. :(
But like my BIL says, That's the sound of FREEDOM!! :D

Yeah, I don't know. I hope not.
Another one went over about a half hour after the first, going the same direction.
I didn't think to check but Scott AF Base has an annual air show, or most years anyway.

I knew it was at least close to 4 inches by what we've drained out of the pool. Had to drain it twice, so where we normally keep the level, and how high it was (again x2), I knew it had to be close to 4...at least.

...thinking about a nap right about now. :D

Swiped this from FB/St. Louis Nat'l Weather Service, a comment that was posted...

48-hour rainfall from 9/8/2016 10:30 am to 9/10/2016 10:30 am in Belleville off 17th Street and 28th Street from two from Taylor calibrated rain gauges: 5.00". I am a retired AF Meteorologist and one-time certified NWS Weather Observer.

...then this one isn't too far from us.
New baden IL. 1.5" overnight 5" total since Thursday

I'd seen Columbia, IL had a record day yesterday..2.8 something inches, then this was also on FB
1.6" overnight, had 5.6" total since Thursday. Columbia, IL.

It's quite a lot in a 48 hour time span for this area, but still over half less than what my friend in NC reported from last weekend.
