Good afternoon lurkers!:wub::wub::wub:

Congrats on the toy find Joey!

I'm all for the crockpot or the reheating thing. Some days I miss cooking just because I don't do it when I am here alone... maybe when I'm down at the ranch at Christmas I will do some mega meals for Bruce and I to have when I am back up here. Might make use of some of that Christmas ham and turkey. I will do a meatloaf or 3 also, been wanting that but not doing it for "just me".:?:

A balmy 17 degrees here and supposed to make it up to 21! Still only up to 5 at the ranch. :(

I ran to the shop to check on the boiler this morning then made a stop at dollar general... got some things I needed for here and some more little things for the girls... Bruce is supposed to get GS a 50$ visa gift card and find something more for DS and then as far as we are concerned everything that needs to be gotten is done. :D

The youngest DS and his family will be at our house for Christmas eve so we will have finger foods and such that night and then unwrap our stuff for them. Christmas is at their house so all I have to do is make sweet potatoes and green bean casserole for that. :)

Clay should be home tomorrow afternoon. I told him no more going anywhere till spring comes! Too many headaches in this cold weather! They are up having an early Christmas with my great grands.

:D

Well, that was my lunch ;)
DH and Bela ate at church, DD ate a cookie
:D
I had B&G. (frozen/microwave variety) Not that great, but at least I didn't have the mess that would've gone with scratch B&G. ;) Good enough...like I said, now I'm ready for a nap after eating that.

Oh man! A nap sounds really good right now! Why is it that as we get older we want naps in the middle of the day? Two weeks away from the classroom and I want to sleep! Bad part is that when I return to work I will be getting sleepy before 7th period! Too bad teachers can't be taking naps!
Maybe it's just the weather
Ummmmmmmmm. Roast sounds good. When DH finally gets some teeth I can buy meat again!

I was always sleepy before 7th period.
What was the worst was 6th hour PE!! Then having to go sit through 7th hour....well, I guess 6th hour study hall was worst.
    Your poor DH. :(

So I guess no nap for you, huh?
    I tried...not successful...we'll call it laying down for a half hour. ;)

My nap is over and the house has that great roast smell
    Yum!!
No nap and no good smells here

I might have to rustle something up
Good smells are the upside of cooking.

I'm not cooking tonight....tonight is helpie selfie night. :D Plenty to eat or graze on, so I'm taking the night off. ;)
I might make an egg sandwich though...if DH wants one too, I'll make one for him, so I might technically be cooking...something quick.  ....time will tell.

Also caught Bela using a marker on our carpet!! o_O :grr:
Made her scrub it out herself!

Good evening everyone! Ughh! I fell asleep on the couch, big mistake, HUGE! I woke up feeling like I had a hangover, except I haven't had a drop to drink. :( I wish I could nap like you guys. Just doesn't work out for me.

Joey, sooo glad you found the toy! That is awesome!

Lori, jealous of those nice warm temps for sure.

Eeeesh Dale, carpet, markers and 6 yr olds don't mix. I would have made kiddo scrub it out also. :thumb:

We ended up at a local family Italian restaurant. I drank a ton of water and had a dinner salad for dinner. I'm feeling better now. Think I was dehydrated from sleeping in front of the toasty fireplace.

Have a good night all and sweet dreams when you go. Gonna try to wrap a few more presents and do some dishes.

Yeah, that sometimes happens with naps. :(
Sleeping in front of a fire isn't prob a great idea either. Good that you had lots of water.:thumb:
    Good night Sara.

    I just read that.
I saw it on Fox, sounded like the last several years have been rather rough for her. :(
