DH's uncle makes it every year for his brothers and sisters though. DH's mom loves it.

I love the kind mom made, have the recipe but rarely ever make it due to the expense ... not to mention the set time
You're supposed to make it around Thanksgiving and wait until Christmas to eat it

That's what he does. He'd made it just before we went for our early Thanksgiving, then he ships it to them all before Christmas.
