Son is ok, pole is ok, car not so much. But...I'm glad he was here in the driveway and that the damage is not worse. I have some dents, the taillight and the mirror on the passenger side will have to be replaced but nothing worse. :)

Yes, I agree, thank goodness he wasn't on the road where the speed would have been higher. I'm sorry about the car.

Sorry about the Chimera, Retired. Anyone you know here that could get it for you and ship it?

Possibly, yes. I fired off another email to 'em this morning regarding their shipping policy. We'll see. :D

Right front brake line was busted due to dry rot. Left one soon to follow. I had both replaced. With towing, the total is $232 plus change.
Ouch! Can't like that but glad you will be safe now!

Not bad with the towing charges. We have one mechanic in town and he knows it! $$$$$

That's why I do the majority of my own work. Only time I take it in to the mechanic is when I know they're gonna have to dig into the engine itself. Otherwise, I do it.

I used to do that also back in the day when you raised your hood and could actually see an engine! So much crap in there now, it's hard to even find where the spark plugs are.

It's not that difficult. Just grab a Chilton manual and go to town!
That's what DH does. :)
The only thing we took one car in for was for a new muffler pipe...many years ago. He didn't have anything to put the bend on it he needed, and he said for no more than they were charging, it wasn't worth it to try himself.

Lynn glad you're getting it all taken care of and that no one was injured!!!

Lunchtime flyby~~~~~
Have a wonderful afternoon all. :)
