Oh dear!! I'm sorry :( Never a happy occasion .

No, you're right. And it was unexpected (a heart attack) so I didn't get to say goodbye ☹️
At least I told him I loved him the last time I saw him, so I'm very thankful for that

One of the things the pastor discussed was not waiting until someone is gone to heal any wounds or say anything that's unsaid. To let the people you know that you care about them, while they're still here. That really reasonated with me.
I guess I'm feeling very reflective tonight! [emoji4]

Chels, I'm very sorry for your loss. I know today had to be rough for you.

Losing someone is never easy and it's definitely harder when you didn't get to say goodbye. We definitely have to make each moment count, so there are no regrets.

I'm a big believer in telling people how I feel as you never know when is the last time :)
And if I'm inclined to give someone flowers it should be in their lifetime to enjoy ;)

I'm not sure. I was thinking pb...then caramel...then toffee. Bwahaha. I like all those, so whatever it is, I bet it's awesome.
It'll be whatever you decide it is ;)

Pretty good. The memorial service for my uncle was today. It was sad but very touching

I used to take mom flowers fairly often :)
My mom all but made me promise *not* to go.
She said life is for the living, and besides, she said...I'm not there.
I've been a couple times. Have tried to honor her wishes. :)

It's handy having a florist in the family. My brother and sil take care of her grave.

At the time I didn't like it, but have been thankful for the release from it.
This way I continue to associate her more from memories when she was still here, than having the headstone as how I associate or connect...but, I'm weird.
How you handle grief, or respect the passing of close loved ones is a completely personal thing.
We all do what makes us feel most comfortable.

The gal I work with lost her mother a year after I did. She can't imagine not going to the grave.
We're all different, and I don't think there's a right or wrong way to handle it. :)

I've only been back a couple of times and that was mostly to support dad

Well, I still haven't made it to the tub.
Dale, I know that will shock you.

Decided to burn off coils, so I have that out of the way.
Will do my others for my Reos tomorrow, or Tues.
  :lol: Of course you haven't
