I'm thinking we will be ok as far as snow. Doesn't look like it's coming as north as they first said. Meteorologists....what do they know

Long Island @Sara Love and so far 3-4 inches of Thunder Snow! Very cool to see! I am surprised you are not getting any Snow because looking at the maps this storm stretches from Washington DC to Montreal.
I'm north of Buffalo. We had a dusting this morning and flurries. This evening we are supposed to get some (not sure how much as they've been focused on your storm) But that is from a different snow band coming from the north.
Thunder snow is pretty cool.
Correction snow fall total is now more than 6 inches as I shoveled the side for now. Blowing like stink and one good thing is the truck isn't buried! The snow is blowing off and not really building up. Waiting to get started snow plowing is worse than watching paint dry!

Correction again now snow is building up on top of the truck and have 5-6 inches to clean off the top before I can roll.
AA had a plane do an emergency landing in St Louis they unloaded all the people and luggage and are going over everything with bomb dogs out away from the airport

Safe travels when you go. Good luck at the Doctor's. 18 degrees now. Tomorrow 27 and then 39/40 for the weekend. Jealous of your weather, that's for sure. Yikes! Stay warm and be safe when you do get to plow.
