Yeah, I have to agree about all the new fangled crap...guess I'm getting old, but I just want something that works and that doesn't require an advanced degree to use the dang thing!
...Think I may have found a couple of GE's that might come close to fitting the bill though, you can choose the load size and they have the agitator in them, which I really prefer...the bf has one of those without the agitator and where it automatically senses the amount of water to add and he hates the dang thing so I'm trying to stay away from that...more research needed first though.

Mine has a deep water setting, I use that, and I run it on delicate pretty much all the time because stuff gets too wrinkled otherwise.
They do come out clean though, so I guess on the most basic level, it does it's job...but yeah, I'm old fashioned too. I sure miss my older one.

Washers these days are sure over rated. They promise everything but rarely do a good job of it. I sure miss my old washer with the agitator, especially on jeans! Good luck finding a good one Angel!
