To all of you with crazy weather, please be safe. Last Friday, a family member of mine flipped her car into a creek and was stranded for 8 hours overnight. You just never know, she was VERY lucky we hadn't had rain in the past few days. Had this happened a week ago, she would've surely drowned. Feeling blessed over here that she'll be out of the hospital within a few days!

Wow Chels, I hope she makes a full recovery.

Oh no, stay safe Lori.
Thanks. I sure plan to try to.
I'm very respectful of weather, and I keep a very close eye on what's going on.
We have a basement, so that's a plus too.
I'm just hoping DH can get his rear end home before it starts. He usually ends up caught in the middle of bad storms and sends pics and videos...

I can't imagine what those 8 hours stranded in the dark must've been like!

Update: she's being discharged today![emoji847]
I can't either!! Was she in an air space in her overturned car?? Or stranded in the dark?
Either way, scary stuff!!
That's great!!

Welp, I'm off again. Going to go get my errands done. :)

Her car was partially submerged in the creek. She climbed in the back to stay dry until help came. Luckily she has a hatchback and a change of dry clothes

That is great news.

Gosh, I need to go check the weather/news. I feel so out of the loop. But I did see that Bill Paxton and Judge Wapner passed away and something about a bad mix up at the Oscars

Yikes! You need to nip that in the bud. He musta been a storm chaser in a previous life. Glad you have a basement, Dale on the other hand does not, right?

Hi Angel. Glad your day is better today!!

No, he doesn't chase storms, he just often gets caught in them because he's on the road so much.
He's respectful of the severe weather, he's just not fearful.

No...Dale does not have a basement. :( She can confirm, but I think there's a mountain near her that gives them some protection...a little anyway.

It so humid out you could cut it with a knife. I'd like to turn on the air.

How about I don't see any damage yet from the frost last weekend. That blooming tree hasn't had a single blossom turn transparent or black, or drop. The buds on other things look okay too!
I remember 6 or 8 inches of snow on St. Patrick's about 3 years ago, so anything's still possible, but so far, so good.

I hope he makes it home safely. Poor guy. I'm so glad your tree is hanging in there. Fingers crossed it stays that way. :)

I'm sure he will. :) But thanks.
Just all part of living in this area. I don't really *worry* about it, there's nothing you can do about it.
Most of the time it's more hype than storm...

Ok ... OBG ... the storms are just now starting to initiate in Missouri ...

Here is one that recently went to a severe warning. It's currently about an hour from your area and as it tracks now, may go to the south of you... but these can change direction pretty easily so... Keep an eye out.

I was just coming back to tell you you're in a cone! 3 p.m. eta for you.

    9x13 pan
    beef roast
sprinkle generous layer of original hidden valley ranch buttermilk dip/dressing - dry out of packette
layer 2 - sprinkle generous layer of McCormik Au Jus mix - dry out of packette - both layers just evenly coat
1 can Campbells Beefy Mushroom soup - mix with a little less than 1/4 c water - pour over roast/seasoning
    Cover in foil

Bake 250 until done, usually 2 to 3 hours, or until tender.
