    Lots of good places to stop after you get past 270 on 44 in St louis county or before you get to it going east :)
    Yeah, but how far past do I have to go to avoid the 6 Flags tourist trap pricing?:)

    31s to Rochester 25S stay on that to 74 go west to 63 south take that to Terra Haute get on 70 west it's 158 miles across Ill. to st louis stay in right lane when you cross river and take 44w exit READ all signs when you cross river it's easy to miss :)

    That adds a couple hours, and doesn't get me as far as I want to get the first night.

    No, but thank GOODNESS it mostly will go in a circle, and at LEAST it's WAY easier to exit onto 64 heading back to IL, that used to be a nightmare to catch that tiny exit, you'd have better been praying you were where you needed to be and could get over there to that wee little tiny exit to IL. :facepalm: Otherwise, well...it was what, Rt. 3 for your next option...:facepalm:

    Both ramps are lots more exciting in winter with snow/ice :D

    Yeah, no kidding!!!
    Before they worked on the MLK bridge, if my DH was pulling a big trailer, depending if he met another wide(ish) vehicle, he said it would not be uncommon at all to rub along that bridge. :facepalm:

    What's that??:laugh:
    An unbelievable gift from God!!! Even shows traffic snarls and clogs!!!
