Leaving for home early today. Not sure yet just what time. Bruce is still sleeping so it will be a while. I need to follow Bruce to take his pickup to be worked on, then we will stop and see the grand girls for a bit and I will leave from there. I haven't seen them in 3 weeks so am sure ready too! I doubt I come up next weekend as Bruce will be coming up to see Clay and I for a few days at Thanksgiving. I'm ok with that, the drive is a bit long to do every weekend!

Good morning Dale, Fran, Rachel, Sara and Bobbi I'm taking the day off today. It sure does feel good knowing I don't have to work tonight. I have lots to do around here that will keep me busy! And brrrr...we have our first frost!

Have been lounging on the sofa watching some TV with DH. Slept in til 7, and it felt really good.

We had some frost this a.m. too, but I think I saw 60 for our high today. Gorgeous sunny day so far here.

@LoriP1702 Our first frost is actually late for us this year. It generally occurs around the end of October or the first of November. It's suppose to warm into the 60's today and with the exception of tomorrow with rain, be in the 60's for the rest of the week.

Sounds similar to our area, although we've stayed warmer for daytime temps a little longer (I think).

NC is such an odd state for temps. When it's supposed to be cold, it's warmish. When it's supposed to be warm, it's coldish. Years ago, we actually wore shorts to go to my grandmother's for Thanksgiving dinner.

No, the real thing is not funny at all...the real thing greatly disappoints me and makes me very sad for our youth of today...and angry at the parents and society that have raised them to be such whiny, selfish, entitled feeling little brats. ...That's why I laugh at the meme because if I can't laugh at them, I might just go and smack the stupidity out of them all!

And you know what they say about NC weather lynn....If you don't like the weather in NC, hang around a few minutes because it could change. Lol We had our first good frost here too. Would love to get some rain tomorrow. We have a 40% chance.

But can we really blame the kids when those in authority are the ones letting them take time out of class or providing counselors to deal with their "grief" Who ARE these people???
