Yes, I was the designated cook and bottle washer! Everyone had full bellies and smiles on their faces! I really need to reconsider how I go about cooking though I didn't need to spend some much extra time making Maple flavored sweet potatoes and homemade bread stuffing with sausage! Extra couple of hours and prep and cooking times! But that is how I do things so hard to do things simple when extravagant is more enjoyable!

Well that was super nice of you:)
I had to scale way back this year but it was nice to actually sit down at the table and just be with the family.

Woooo! Just sat down with some jingle juice. Tree is up, outside lights are up (need to replace a few bulbs ) inside window lights are up. Everything is lit, so beautiful to sit in the glow of Christmas lights, listening to Christmas music. :)

Hope everyone is having a nice evening.

Sounds lovely Sara! How about that jingle juice, is it as good as you thought it would be? :)

Just finished a small plate of leftovers, for some reason I haven't been very hungry today;)

It was a smidge too sweet. The whipped vodka was the culprit. And that was halving the recipe. It called for 1 bottle of whipped, 1 bottle of pink champagne and a 2L of cherry 7up. (punch bowl recipe) I did half of everything for it to fit in a glass pitcher. Could prolly have used a quarter of the whipped vodka. As I drank, I added more champagne and 7up. Did I mention it was only me drinking it  :D The more I added the better it tasted Bwahahaha.

    NO!!! You didn't! :?:
Yeah, those drinks tend to do that  Either that or it gets to the point it really doesn't matter

How were your leftovers? We had that for lunch and the boys had a frozen pizza for dinner. :)
    My leftovers?
It was okay, I had sweet potato casserole, a couple deviled eggs, a small piece of turkey and some raw veggies.

My view from the love seat. Don't mind the Black Friday ads and I have to fix the extension cord. Hubby is helping me finish the jungle juice. ;)

I see holes in the 3 year old prelit tree :-x I might have to break out an individual strand to fix.
    It looks very pretty :thumb:
I do like the lights early in the morning:)

Sounds delish Dale. :) I really missed the deviled eggs. We had stuffed celery instead. Grandma's recipe.

Haha, I didn't drink THAT much of it, which is why we are finishing it tonight. Can't bear to waste all that alcohol and the 7up will go flat soon. ;)

Thank you :) I wish we could leave it up year round. Lolz! Do you do a real or fake tree? I grew up with the ugliest fake tree ever, but it was free. Someone gave it to my mom. DH grew up with real trees.
