I am not in the mood to go to the supermarket is why but since the mention of the dumplings they have been in my head.

I buy the ones WM sells in the red and white pack by the frozen rolls they come in strips you just break them up in the pot and let them do their thing,or you can make them easy enough but it's more work and mess :)

@LoriP1702 Lori, I'm already thinking along those same lines. For many reasons. 1. The job that I'm doing right now is one more suited for a young person, not a 60 year old woman. I have to move baskets of work that weigh 200lbs or more. The baskets are on wheels but sometimes they don't work all that well. I've actually seen men struggle to move them. 2. I'm still a temp making $10 an hour after being told when they hired me, that after 500 hours, I'd be offered permanency. I have 800+ right now with no offer in sight. 3. As a temp, I have no benefits, no vacation, personal time off etc. And the worst thing of all is none of the managers seem to care about anyone etc. Upper management is the same way.

Holy crap Lynn, I knew it was bad but that is awful and ridiculous. I'm sorry. I hope that you can find something decent and soon.

Those look VERY MUCH like the one's my mom used to make.
But I don't remember the nutmeg.
She'd make the noodles, then open up brown grocery bags, spread those out on the kitchen table, let the noodles dry for a couple hours on the paper bags.
Those were the BEST homemade noodles I've had to date.
But...I really think she used a recipe out a really old version of the Better Homes & Gardens Cookbook, I'll have to ask my sister and see if she remembers.

    Those are really good too!!

I've used these for "cheater" dumplings.
Two cans, cut into 1/4ths, on a floured cutting board. Delish.
