Good morning everyone. Hope you all have a fruitful Friday

Kiddo has one nasty cold, but says his throat doesn't hurt as bad. :nah: I feel bad for him. :(

It's 12 out there with a feels like -1. But the positive is we didn't get much if any new snow

Have a nice morning. Stay warm.

Happy Friday lovely lurkers.

It's 39 here, so nice and warm compared to you guys. :p...I'm cold just thinking of those temps...Brrrr...Stay warm and safe for those of you with snow too.

Lori, enjoy your luncheon.

Hopefully today won't be so bad, but after the way last Friday turned out, I'm not gonna count on it. Won't be going to the BF's tonight because it's the family Christmas dinner at my dad's on Sunday and we have to drive to Alabama for that...although I have to keep my eyes on the weather because they are predicting rain all day there with temps in the 30s and then 20s...I'm just worried about potential ice on the roads...I'll be the first to admit, I have never driven on ice and don't want to start now. :?:

Hope everyone has a great day!

I couldn't help myself, I had to look it up :D Where I live we average 85 inches of snow per year. Sara's not far from me and she averages 74 inches of snow per year.

Currently 13 degrees, feels like -7 and still snowing. :( Should be a better day tomorrow all the way up to 22 degrees with only a little snow and not so much wind. Heatwave on Sat., 42 degrees :D

Your forecast is pretty similar to ours OBG for the next week.

Hope your little one is feeling better tomorrow Sara.

Hubby and grandson got the air hockey table put together today for another grandson's Christmas present since I don't expect he'll be visiting again until Christmas day. Of coarse we all had to play. :D Not sure how he's gonna get it home, its huge, but that's his parents problem :D :p

Hope you all have a good Friday.

Yikes, I was gonna guess somewhere around 80 inches basing it off of Buffalo. Lovely, if we have 6-8 so far that means only 66-68 more to go

You hope it goes home with him :sneaky: Lolz!

    No, I don't think I would be either. :(

Welp, I'm heading off. Need to try to be out of here a few mintues earlier than usual.
    Have a good day all.
I have a Christmas luncheon today, so prob no lunchtime flyby.
Will try to lurk when I get to work though.

Hope you have a great day and an awesome lunch :)

Have a good day Angel, and I hope you don't have to drive in ice this weekend. Fingers crossed.

    Good morning everyone :)

Had another interview with the same place for a mechanic's position, there are 2 positions open I am in the top 3 according to the plant manager!!

That's awesome news Joey!! I hope this works out for you.

Thanks Balwin. Eeeesh! That's awful about the temps. Have a good day and you stay warm too.

Thank you everyone for the good thoughts about kiddo. His temp was 99.0 so I sent him. Stressed to him to stay hydrated, cover his mouth and wash his hands. So I'm gonna head out to wrap Santa presents first in case he ends up at the nurses office and I have to go get him. Enjoy the rest of your mornings and stay warm in these cold temps.

    Good morning:)

Hope you have a nice Christmas luncheon Lori :)

Good luck on getting that job Joey:)

Hoping you don't run into any ice Angel. If you do, just drive slow and if you need to use your breaks do so s l o w l y and leave LOTS of room between you and the next car. If you slide, go with it, don't try to stop it suddenly. I'm sure you'll be fine. :) Hope you enjoy your Christmas gathering !

Hoping you get all your presents wrapped today Sara and your son has a ok day at school. My youngest grandson's been dealing with a cold all week although he's been able to go to school and now my daughter's gotten it. She's in her first month of work at a new job and doesn't have any sick time yet so she kind of has to go to work and she's miserable today. Fortunately she didn't have any appointments with clients so she's in her office with the door closed doing an online training. Doesn't matter how old your kids get, we still hate to hear they are sick :(

Hope it gets warmer for all of you in the deep freeze right now. Stay in if you can !!!

Ok, kitchen floor I washed should be dry so I guess I'd better go see what else needs doing. :D

Glad to hear you got your Dad's shopping done Dale. :thumb:

I realized I was missing one present I'd ordered for granddaughter on Nov 21st from Dick's. I chatted on line with them and they are sending it out again over night(they're paying for the overnight shipping) so it should be here tomorrow. :)

I haven't been outside yet today. Hibernating as long as possible :D

Had a very nice Christmas Luncheon. :)

@oldbikeguy We were in S. County (St. Louis) off Gravois, I think, (for our luncheon)...I didn't drive.
There was a very fine mist that was freezing just a bit on the windshield, but the roads were still fine.
The gal I work with lives in Cedar Hill, so she's heading out to go home. She'd heard that it's getting slick already there.
I should be okay. Radar isn't showing anything yet where we live, nor anything here in Swansea/Belleville either.
Not sure it will get to us.

OMG! What a day! I'm beginning to think that my Fridays at this place are really Mondays in disguise!...But I made it through the day so that's all that matters! I may not be going to the BF's for my "big drink" but I can certainly have my own drink here...time to pour a big one, send the kid out for dinner and sit back and do nothing until I fall asleep.

All you guys dealing with ice, please stay safe.

Good evening everyone  Kiddo made it through the day and is resting on the couch. :thumb: Temp is still 99, is that a fever? He has to stay home for 24 hrs fever free if it's over 100.

Lori, glad your luncheon was nice. Stay safe in the ice. Hopefully when you are reading this you are home.

Glad your home OBG and not out in the ice.

Dale, so glad your shopping is done for your dad. Were you able to find anything more for Bela?

Grandmato, yikes! Yay that they are overnighting your GD's gift. Glad you remembered it.

Awww Angel, sorry you had a crap Friday. Thank goodness it's the weekend and you'll get to spend it with family.

Arghhhh! I spent all day wrapping and for the first time ever I'm not done :nah: I wrapped all DH's families gifts too. Was feeling generous, then I ran out of time.

The sun was shining and then I looked up and it felt like I was in a snow globe. Big, fat, fluffy flakes coming down. So pretty. Only 64 more inches to go - I think! I've already lost count. ;)

I guess if you have to have icy weather it's at least good you don't have to get out in it :)
