Oh, all of today's shopping was dads gifts for Bela :) He's a little smitten with her ;)

Sorry you're getting more snow, it won't interfere with your family weekend will it?

Lolz!! I saw that.

Nothing wrong with that! My grandfather adores kiddo. And kiddo has my dad wrapped around his little finger.

Mom requested I make lasagna since they missed out on it the last time. But now my brother will be in the area and wants to get together for dinner - out. I'd rather not though, not that I don't want to see him, just that our wallets need some time to breathe from Christmas shopping and we are trying not to eat out.

Good afternoon grandmato

Had to go back to town today but I did get dads shopping done! :thumb:
Oh, glad you got Dad's all taken care of!!

Glad to hear you got your Dad's shopping done Dale. :thumb:

I realized I was missing one present I'd ordered for granddaughter on Nov 21st from Dick's. I chatted on line with them and they are sending it out again over night(they're paying for the overnight shipping) so it should be here tomorrow. :)

I haven't been outside yet today. Hibernating as long as possible :D
Oh wow, that's awesome Dick's is doing that! The Dick's store we used to go to in Bloomington, IL closed at some point this past year. We always stop there on the way up to DH's parents, and this year as we approached....it was empty. We don't live there, so I don't know if they moved, or just closed. I need to check into that...glad you mentioned Dick's!!
OMG! What a day! I'm beginning to think that my Fridays at this place are really Mondays in disguise!...But I made it through the day so that's all that matters! I may not be going to the BF's for my "big drink" but I can certainly have my own drink here...time to pour a big one, send the kid out for dinner and sit back and do nothing until I fall asleep.

All you guys dealing with ice, please stay safe.
Sometimes Friday's are like that.
I'm ready for one too!!
Not sure what's up with my keypad...it's wanting to double space when I hit return.

Good evening everyone  Kiddo made it through the day and is resting on the couch. :thumb: Temp is still 99, is that a fever? He has to stay home for 24 hrs fever free if it's over 100.

Lori, glad your luncheon was nice. Stay safe in the ice. Hopefully when you are reading this you are home.

Glad your home OBG and not out in the ice.

Dale, so glad your shopping is done for your dad. Were you able to find anything more for Bela?

Grandmato, yikes! Yay that they are overnighting your GD's gift. Glad you remembered it.

Awww Angel, sorry you had a crap Friday. Thank goodness it's the weekend and you'll get to spend it with family.

Arghhhh! I spent all day wrapping and for the first time ever I'm not done :nah: I wrapped all DH's families gifts too. Was feeling generous, then I ran out of time.

The sun was shining and then I looked up and it felt like I was in a snow globe. Big, fat, fluffy flakes coming down. So pretty. Only 64 more inches to go - I think! I've already lost count. ;)
Glad he made it all day!!
Oh ugh on more snow!!
Welcome home OBG! :w00t:
I guess if you have to have icy weather it's at least good you don't have to get out in it :)

Hope no one was seriously hurt in those wrecks:(

Glad you had a nice luncheon Lori! :)
Hope the frozen stuff skips you.

:(
At least you are home now:)

It's a tiring time of year isn't it o_O
Okay, this --->> went with Sara's quote!! My keypad must've jumped. Glad he made it!! 99 is considered low grade I believe.
Wow, you must have had a lot of packages to wrap!!
...below, went with Dale's quote.
Ugh, NO...we have ice. As soon as I posted that, the service mgr. came in my office (about 4:30) and said he couldn't believe that I was still there...he said "I know you don't like to drive when the roads are bad".
I was like  it's bad out?? There wasn't anything even showing on the radar. We'd been getting a heavy mist I guess for an hour...our asphalt parking lot was slick as snot. Had to take teeny, tiny...shuffle steps to get to the car!! The streets were already slick...and everyone...I mean everyone crept the whole way, and no one was driving close to each other , usually everyone drives like idiots, but pretty much everyone respects icy roads, thankfully!!
I never got over 35 the whole way home, so what usually takes about 35 minutes took over an hour.
I talked to the gal who had left earlier than me...she was sitting on the shoulder of 255, hadn't even crossed into MO...she was an hour into her way home, and still in IL. (It's about 20 minutes to MO from where we work.) They'd shut the interstate down she said because of the ice. While we were talking, she said that two salt trucks had passed her, so she was hoping to be moving soon. She left about a half hour earlier than I did.

Yeah, I hate to drive in snow/slick roads, but I *really* don't ever drive on icy roads...tonight it just snuck up on me.
I never saw our winter weather advisory. The weather forecast I saw this a.m. before work didn't show it. :(
Then I was busy with that 2.5 hour luncheon, then the half hour back to work....
Cheryl has made it to Hwy 30, she's going 5 mph. But she said the temp is up to 31...I had 27 on my way home. She's not too far from home now, she's going to text me when she gets there.

She's a gorgeous little girl!! :) No two ways about it. ;)
    ...ha, now my keypad is working. :blink;

Oh...and our luncheon gift was.....Chocolate covered strawberries!!!
Last year it was a fresh floral Christmas bouquet.
A puppy dog made from clusters of white carnations. Was cute as it could be!!

Okay...off to get that drink made and have a strawberry. Then prob go soak.

I'll be back around later. :)

Lol sorry about your keyboard having a mind of its own.

:eek::eek: I'm so glad you made it home safely. Thank goodness people were using their heads tonight also. I will take snow over ice in a heartbeat.

Guess what I found last night on accident? Remember awhile ago we were talking about the smilies on here and I had found a list of them but then I couldn't find it again? Scroll to the bottom of this page and click on help. It takes you to the help page, then click on smilies. List of them all and how to type them out.

ETA: I hope your co worker makes it home soon. :(

Weather says 3 for overnight. Sick of the cold already.
    ...couldn't "like" that...no way. :(
