Lori glad you made it home safe,I drove into that stuff on 44 before lunch time slowed me right down when I started seeing cars in the ditch :)
I saw a newer VW Beetle that had failed to negotiate their turn on a concrete median. Figured they have zero weight to those. I think they were going to be able to back off if it once traffic had passed. But that was the only vehicle I'd seen that was off the road.
Cheryl said they must've closed the bridge waiting for the salt trucks earlier.
I think St. Louis area was worse than it was over here, but it started here later, it's prob bad out here now. Our patio is now ice covered, but when I got home, my headlights were frozen over with about a quarter of an inch with ice...but our concrete driveway here was still bone dry.

Wow Lori...so glad you made it home safe...sure feel sorry for your co-worker though...that is a long time to be stuck like that.

Just talked to my dad and he says the rain should end before we even get there and the temps won't drop till much later, so they're not predicting any ice for there...good thing, because I wouldn't be going if there was.

Got my drink in hand, and we decided to just order pizza...had to call them though and am waiting on them to redeliver my order because everything was burnt. :glare: I was so disgusted! So now I'm going to have tons of pizza here since we get to keep the burnt stuff too...well the dogs won't care if it's burnt!

    Thanks.
Glad your travel weather looks to be okay now!!
One Thanksgiving trip we caught snow about an hour from here on the way to MI. Was a miserable trip up.
By the time we got close to his parents house, we were pushing snow with our license plate. Thankfully that was only the last couple of miles.
The downside of marrying someone from Michigan is that it has to be really super nasty before it phases them.
So when Sara, Fran, or Bobbi talk about the snow being bad, it HAS to be MISERABLY bad.
    ...I think 3 inches is bad. :D

More people should drive smart. Way too many jerks on the road.
Everyone I saw was pretty cautious tonight. :nun:
