Our Christmas stuff came down right after DD and Bela moved out, not that there was much to do

I know. My nap left me tired, and I only barely dozed. I'm headed to the tub now.
Dinner is in the oven reheating, I don't care...I'll eat in my pj's.
I'm the real party pooper...my tree went up on the 23rd and came down exactly a week later. Originally, I hadn't planned on putting up one.Lol's...once again, you fit right in with us.

Y'all are lucky...if I take a shower or bath at night, I'll be up all night. I've conditioned myself that showers/baths are to wake up so they are only done in the morning or before I go to work.

I'm the same way Lynn...can only take my shower in the morning...it wakes me up and gets me going.
Well don't feel bad...I didn't do one either...not time here and well just too lazy for it!
...Was just me and my adult son at home, so neither of us really cared. That's almost the way I was. Working 7 days a week before Christmas didn't give me time to get it up so I told my kids I wasn't putting one up. Then, because my daughter needed someone to babysit my grandson on the 23rd, he helped me put it up. Then after Christmas, the cats kept knocking the ornaments off and waking me up at all hours of the night messing with it I couldn't wait to get it down. Had I not went shopping with my daughter the Monday after Christmas, it would have came down then.
I'm actually going to pass on the dessert tonight Dale...but only because I just had a piece of cherry pie and a piece of mincemeat pie...so I'm stuffed!
Still lurking from work... about 1/2 hour to go. Then home to some left over lasagna, salad, french bread and ... creme puffs for dessert! I bought a batch for the celebration with the girls and I think there are almost a dozen left!

I wasn't going to put one up either...but I caved.
I used to be like that when I was younger, now I find them relaxing, and they signal my brain to slow down and relax...but I completely understand what you (and Angel) are talking about.
I don't always put one up. It's just DH and I, and we generally don't have any friends or family over through the holidays.
DH could absolutely care less about having a tree. He always says "don't put that up for me".
