Wow! Thank goodness it didn't hit it.

It did once. It didn't take it all the way down, but we had a low power situation.
The power company was there really fast to get it all fixed.

and I won't drop the fuel tank, but pull the truck bed instead. Easy to do.

I've done it both ways,the time I dropped the tank the straps needed replaced when I pulled the bed the bolts were rusted and I replaced them.I would strongly recommend some Kroil on those bolts if you have some,another way is cut a hole in the bed and go to the scrap yard and get a bigger patch from a junk truck

Good morning, lurkers! It's a warm 68 this morning, and quite muggy. Rain moving in. Good chance today through Sunday. It's Friday, the 13th. Not really superstitious, but just wonder what will go wrong today.

OBG, I will go the bed route. I have some penetrating oil I'll use and hopefully won't come into any problems with the bolts. I won't be doing it this weekend. Have to round up the pump, and a T50 torx and a couple of other metric sockets I'll need. Also, I need a nice Saturday without rain. I'll also enlist the help of my BIL especially with moving the bed back.

I'm not going anywhere
As of Thursday afternoon, the National Weather Service office in Springfield, Missouri, was forecasting ice accumulations of ¼-inch to ½-inch along the Interstate 44 corridor, which includes Rolla.

I'll also enlist the help of my BIL especially with moving the bed back.

I jacked mine up and set it on piles of 4x4 blocks because no help was around and my son was still in diapers
