I got my Bike ride in today,was going to grill a steak but I might run to Subway instead.Oh by the way their building a Jimmy Johns in Sullivan 
You girls missed one heck of a party in DC today,they even gave out free pink knit hats with ears

Good afternoon lovely lurkers.
Boy what a day yesterday! Work was fine, just incredibly busy...but it was what went on over here in NOLA that had everyone up in arms. Apparently about 6:30 in the morning this piece of scum decided to kill his pregnant wife by chasing her down a busy street and shooting at her and ramming her car. An off duty police officer came upon her, not knowing what was going on, just thinking it was a car accident, and this piece of scum comes up behind him and shoots him in the back of the head. This officer was a young man with a wife, and two young kids. He had served in the Marines in Afghanistan.
Then the idiot that did this decided to grab a cab and once he gets to the top of the bridge that crosses the Mississippi River, he fakes being sick and makes the driver let him out. Then he proceeds to crawl out onto a beam over the river and threaten suicide. This is at 11:30 and immediately stops all traffic going Westbound. Now mind you this is a major artery and the only easy one to get to the Westbank (there is another, but way out of the way and also got gridlocked), which is the way I have to go when I come over here.
I had figured that by the time I was ready to leave that the situation would have been resolved, but when I called the BF to say I was heading over, he told me to wait because he was stuck in the traffic nightmare. The guy finally shot himself in the chest about 5:30 and they got him off the bridge (he died later that night) but it took them another 3 and half hours before they opened the bridge because of all the investigation! This idiot ends up holding the whole city hostage basically because he puts the entire city in gridlock that lasted until 9 last night! I didn't get over here until about 10:30!
...That was way past my normal coma time for a Friday night btw.

Yeah it was sad...for the families that he hurt. I can't say that I'm able to conjure up any sympathy for him though...Is it wrong that I was rooting for one of the officers to accidentally shoot him with his taser and have him fall into the river?
