Oh geez, that doesn't sound good at all. Maybe put your shopping off til Wednesday. When does tornado season really kick in for you? Soon, right?
Normally all of Feb :?: We didn't get it this year ... unless it's coming in March?

I keep trying zucchini and I just don't like it

Who knows about todays weather patterns

I've never done it with the vegetti. We usually slice it and cook it with some olive oil in a pan and then add some halved cherry tomatoes, shredded Mozz and bake it til the cheese is slightly browned. Very good side dish.

Had to go eat dinner...was okay, but would have rather had meatloaf...but no eggs, no meat, and no desire to cook so there goes that idea!

Google problems at Mizzou, Oh and congrats on his schooling so far
I did...and considering where he goes now, in the heart of Mississippi, we've had some of those same problems here in the recent past.

He is going to stay home tomorrow and work from here if need be. By the time we were discharged, both doc offices were closed. But I am definitely staying on top of him with the follow ups. He's feeling good but very tired. Said he didn't sleep much last night. The hospital didn't say if he needed more time off. I think this really scard him as well so I think if he feels he needs to be home this week, he'll do it.
Well hopefully it scared him enough to take care of himself. ;)

Kiddo is 37 lbs and all up to date on shots. Got a clean bill of health!
Yay for a clean bill of health!

To be honest, I think this scared a whole lotta people in my family.

Ok sweet friends, I'm going to try to get some shut eye. Sweet dreams everyone and thank you again for all the well wishes and putting up with me this evening.

So my college son will be graduating in May and he just announced that he's made his decision about which graduate school he's going to be going to...he decided to accept University of Missouri's offer. I'm excited for him and so proud of him too...he was trying to decide between there, Iowa and a school in Virginia, and Mizzou won out...and the awesome thing is they pay him to come to their school! :w00t:...And in about 5 or 6 years, I'll have to start calling him Dr. Son.
    That's awesome news!!
I agree with OBG, check it out first.
I can't remember the specifics, I'd have to Google myself, but they've been in the news a lot the last couple years.

Thank you so much for all your thoughts and prayers. I hope I didn't miss anyone. It has been such a scary two days. He came downstairs yesterday and was talking gibberish. I knew right away something was wrong. He couldn't articulate his words and was spacing out. We started out to urgent care and then I changed my mind and took him to the ER. His BP was through the roof. Today, the MRI and Echo came back perfectly fine. They think it was the BP and stress from work that caused the weird speech. He has to take BP meds and f/u with primary doc and the would like him to f/u with a stroke specialist just in case it was a TIA that they couldn't see on the MRI. He's home now and resting.

Joey, sorry you aren't feeling well. Hope it passes quickly.

Glad you are home safe and sound and with dessert.

Welcome!! I know you will get the answers you are looking for somewhere on this forum. There are a lot of knowledgeable people here. :)

Ugh, sorry you've had a rough day. I wasn't sure if I wanted a nice stiff drink or a big bowl of ice cream. The ice cream won out as I'm too paranoid I would be buzzed and something goes wrong here at home with DH. I hope tomorrow goes better for you. Congrats on pre-Dr. Son. That is wonderful news. How exciting!! :)
That was exactly what my mom did when she had her TIA.
She lived alone, in an independent living facility, but :nun: thankfully, I was on phone with her when it happened.
She started slurring, and talking gibberish.
I tried to keep her on the phone, then called the front desk, they had to use their key to get in, and they called a nurse from the nursing home side to run over until the ambulance got there.
I don't think her's showed up on the scans, but the day after, her neurologist did some verbal testing and confirmed it was (probably) a TIA.
He pointed to the button on his shirt and asked her what it was. She answered "button", right away.
Then he pointed to the center of the button and asked, okay, what holds the button in place? (thread)
    She just blanked out.
He said that TIA's targeted the finer tuning/thinking/reasoning of our brains. People can still "get" the easier answers, but the ones that kind of require a second thought process, they usually failed.
He said that it would mostly likely pass in a day or so, that she'd regain her normal function...and she did.
But when we got to looking around her house, we think that she'd had a series of them, possibly over the course of a few days, there were just weird things in weird places in her house, and she'd been sharp as a tack up to that point.

Just sooooo thankful that he's getting good care, and going to follow the Dr.'s instructions.
How scary for you all!! (((HUGS)))
Will keep you all in prayer!!

    Well darn!

Isolated thunderstorms in the morning, then variable clouds during the afternoon with strong thunderstorms. Damaging winds, large hail and possibly a tornado with some storms. High 74F. Winds SSW at 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 70%.
Yeah, tomorrow could be dicey for a lot of (us) folks.

Thanks Lori...yeah I'm checking it out and will let the boy know to look into it too, but ultimately it's going to be his decision...but doesn't hurt to give him all the info he might need though.
