Sounds awesome!! Stay safe lifting that desk. Glad to hear your tooth is feeling better. :)

Hi Angel.
Glad the tooth feels better!
Don't hurt yourself lifting that desk gal. :)
Your breakfasts sound good!!
Ha! Yeah, I plan on doing very little lifting...I'm more the supervisor type and will contribute by telling him which way he needs to to go with the thing to get it in the truck! :p:lol:

Hiya Darlin ...good to see you popping in...have you been behaving yourself?;)

Did I ever tell you guys about the time my sister and I got up in the middle of the night and found all of baskets so we could cook them for breakfast (brother was too little to get out of his crib so he couldn't help)True story, plastic eggs and all in one big pot :lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:we got caught, mom wasn't happy
Bwahahaha...why does this not surprise me!:lol::lol:

My hands are sore today after wrenching that darn coffee grinder apart yesterday.
That mushy part below your thumb, toward your wrist. Feels bruised.
Ouch! Hope it feels better soon.

    :lol::lol::lol::lol:Ok guess you'll just be a cream puff forever,how about a tennis ball :)
I actually have pretty strong hands for a girl. ;)
Years of working at the flower shop, making 500,000+ bows, carrying buckets of flowers, etc.
Then in addition to, and even since leaving there, I still do a lot with my hands.
Crochet, counted cross stitch, lots of writing at work, plus all the general stuff we do anyway.
That muscle in my hand is rock hard if I flex it. :D
Years ago, when I still worked at the flower shop, I thought I had carpal tunnel, went to a Dr., he thought I had *something* going for sure....well, turned out what he though was going to be a mass, was muscle.
He said..."what is it you do again?".....
Anyway, I had tendonitis of the thumb, something like that. So I'd ask if I needed to do exercises, and he said no, to *rest* it.

Thanks, I'll be okay, it's just kind of sore. :)

I saw that earlier, didn't click on it...that would gross me OUT!!!! *shiver*

I had carpal tunnel in my 30's...caused by excessive computer work without the proper ergonomic setup...lucky for me was able to treat it with meds and physical therapy, but boy was that a painful few months. :nah:...Had tennis elbow a couple of years ago too...never played tennis in my life, but was again caused by a computer setup that wasn't very good...my boss at the time felt horrible and immediately ordered all this ergonomic stuff to alleviate it...that and meds again took care of it...now I'm much more careful in how my desk/work area is set up.

Dale, yay on the 2 naps...sounds like you needed it...sometimes our bodies just take over and make us do what it wants. ;)

    Yah

Good, it'd really be bad if it was that hard to get apart every time you needed to :thumb:
I know! No, I'd send it back if it was that hard to get apart.

Oh wow! Glad you were able to avoid the surgery!!
That's great that your boss was so proactive!
I've heard tennis elbow is extremely painful too!!
In the years that followed my thumb issue, there were 3 at our store that ended up having to have the surgery.
Florists are in a high risk category for it. My SIL, was one of the three, and she ended up having to have both hands done, course, not at the same time.
My mom worked there the majority of her adult life, and never had a problem.
I guess some are prone to it, and some aren't. Unless that's changed, but that was what I was told years ago.

I know I've mentioned before that I sleep in those wrist braces, I'm hoping that will stave it off, so far, I don't have any symptoms of carpal tunnel. :nun:
The other gal in our office has an ergonomic keyboard. I hate it!!:lol:
Thankfully, much of my computer work is just doing spreadsheets, and for short intervals.
I do about equal hand writing (acct. coding invoices), ten-key, and computer time. Plenty of breaks in between it all....filing, up and down getting questions answered from people in the different departments, etc.
So, I'm very thankful that I don't have to sit and pound on the keyboard all day.

Yeah, that seems to be the case.

Glad your boss set you up right :thumb:
I had one buy an amplified phone for me when I worked in accounts receivable :) Didn't have any wrist problems back then that I recall but did have to start wearing my glasses after all the computer work

Now I'm the opposite, have to take them off for close up work

Yeah my mom has carpal tunnel in both of hers and she elected to have the surgery done on both of hers at the same time!...That was real fun because I got put in charge of helping her go to the bathroom and bathe...I was a teenager at the time, so you know I wasn't real happy about that!:?:...But once she recovered, she was so much better and happy to be able to use her hands again.

Even though I'm on the computer a lot, I don't really have to use the keyboard constantly...lots of spreadsheets and online forms, so mostly just punching in numbers most of the time...but if I need it, I still have my ergonomic keyboard...I've taken it with me to most of my jobs to use ever since I had that problem before.

And yes, tennis elbow is very painful...I couldn't use my arm at all...had to have it in a sling to keep it from overuse, but then also had to do certain exercises at certain times to get the use back. Definitely don't want to do that again...although compared to when I slipped in the kitchen and hit my shoulder on the counter on the way down and ripped the muscle open, tennis elbow was a piece of cake...that shoulder still hurts sometimes when real bad weather is coming.

Yeah, that seems to be the case.

Yeah, I wear contacts to see things far away, but over time as my eyesight has gotten worse, whenever I have my contacts in, I now have to have reading glasses to do any computer or other close up work...and if I forget them when I go to read my Kindle, I have to up the text size.

A couple of people I work with do that. Take them off to read close up.

The ribs are a smoking

    YUM!!!
We had the pineapple brats. I didn't really taste anything pineapple, maybe a hair sweet, but they were good.
   ...w/mac and cheese.
DH had got to get gas for his blower earlier, and milk, and he picked up some (I guess) new Lay's chips.
    Beer Brats flavor.
They were good (I only had 2).
    Yum!! Sounds so good! :)

Dang gal!! You've had some issues and injuries now! Bless your heart!!
I actually NEED new glasses. I think I'm going to try contacts this time, not sure if I'll like them, but thought I'd try some of the disposables.
    Is that what you use?
