Howdy my lovely and handsome lurkers. Finally finished up with the 3 tons of dirt and the front and back yards. Now relaxing after a nice BBQ'ed London Broil.

Dang gal!! You've had some issues and injuries now! Bless your heart!!
I actually NEED new glasses. I think I'm going to try contacts this time, not sure if I'll like them, but thought I'd try some of the disposables.
    Is that what you use?
OMGosh...you just don't know...I am a walking klutz...when the bf says he needs to wrap me in bubble wrap before I go out, he's not far off there. :p:lol: Didn't even count the time when I got pleurisy from all the mold after Katrina, not once, but twice!! That knocked me out for a month each time and the only way I could sleep was sitting up in my recliner...I'm telling you don't want to mess with that black mold...it'll make you seriously ill as I found out after the fact...lesson learned and I won't ever go to clean up any building like that again without a full hazmat suit!

I do use the disposables, but they are good to be worn for about a month, with taking them out at night to rest the eyes...I can usually stretch them out for longer than a month...I usually go until it starts to get fuzzy to see...I know, not the best thing, but I'm cheap and like to make things last as long as I can. And if I don't take them out every night, it's not a disaster, just have to use lots of eye drops when I wake up because my eyes will be really dry. I've been wearing them for about 10 years now and I love them...don't know why I didn't get them sooner.

    How pretty is THAT???
...I am not a girly, girl when I decorate, and wouldn't actually DO that, but that IS really pretty, if you have that decor. :)
If it were a shower curtain I'd put in a guest bath :) It is very pretty!

Wow! Didn't know that about you :(

Did you know there is a place in the bible that says if you have black mold in your home to burn it down :?:

    Bubble wrap, that's funny!
Good grief, I've had pleurisy, that's NO fun either.
My sister who had never had it before thought she was having the signs for a heart attack and went to the ER.
I was glad she went, erring on the safe side, because depending on where your pain starts, it could be similar for sure, but inside I kind of chuckled.

Thanks for the info! I figure if I don't like them, I just won't get more. That's what I was thinking I'd heard that you could use them for 30 days and to be sure to take them out at night.
DH's sister has them, she loves them too.

THAT would be a PERFECT place for them! With a shower curtain. Yep, perfect!
With some rose soaps in a pretty dish!

I'm not surprised at that, because it is some bad stuff...we ended up tearing down all the buildings and starting over from scratch.

Yeah I was like your sister when I got it the first time...we thought it was a heart attack because it was on the left side and the pain was just radiating from that area...heck I'd never even heard of pleurisy until then...the bad thing was that we were limited on hospitals at the time and the only place to go was the ER because most doctors hadn't come back to their practices yet...I had to sit there in the ER for about 4 hours until some of the other patients started going up and insisting that they take me back because even they thought I was having a heart attack...looking back on it now it's kind of humorous, but at the time it was scary.

Yeah they'll give you a set of contacts to try out...just make sure to ask for both your contact prescription and one for glasses too in case you don't like them...and I prefer to go order my contacts online because I can always get them cheaper than the eye doc wants to sell them to me.

It was old testament stuff, I'm sure they didn't have all the chemicals we have these days ;)
