Good afternoon my lovely lurkers.

Lori, that is awesome about your nephew! With a 36 he certainly will get all kinds of offers...my son had a 33 and had several offers for full rides (tuition, room, board and books included)...we didn't pay anything for his whole 4 years at college and he never had to take out any student loans...so your nephew should definitely be able to get as good an offer with that kind of score. Congrats to him.

Bf got one of those copper crispers for Father's day...we've only used it for french fries so far, but it has worked great every time and we haven't had any problems cleaning it so far...he's planning on trying it next weekend to make chicken tenders so we'll see how that goes.

Hope everyone is having a great Sunday.
Thanks!! We're hoping good things for him.
That's AWESOME about your son!! Wow, no college debt!! That's HUGE!!!!

Yes, like Sara said, please let us know what you think about it. :thumb:

No you :p I bought more cast iron I'm broke :rolleyes::img:
Ok, Joey, I'm gonna try meatballs your way this afternoon. So I have a question for you. All's I've ever done was bake them in the oven. How much olive oil do you put in the pan. Just enough to cover the bottom? Or are you turning like a Dutch oven type pan into a fryer and having the meatballs float around? I remembered you said about a half hour for a full pan.
I just coat the bottom of the pan with olive oil, the meatballs will spew it grease to help out. Now don't forget to use some of that grease in your gravy if that is what you are making. I also keep using the same pan to fry up other meats also and use some of the grease from each meat in my gravy. I also add chopped peppers and onion, minced garlic, Italian seasoning, bay leaf, any grated cheese I have laying around and a little bit of sugar to cut the acidity. That is most of my recipe to gain about ten pounds :rolleyes::lol::lol::lol:

Hiya Angel, definitely let us know how the tenders turn out!!

That is awesome about your son. I hope kiddo continues to do well in school. So far he seems to take after his dad in the intelligence department. I'm hoping to instill my street smart/common sense in him. ;)
Oh yes, do make sure to instill that common sense into him...book smarts are great, but without common sense to go with it, well sometimes that just creates problems...My ex BIL was genius level, but had zero common sense...he couldn't really function in society...I always joked we couldn't let him out because he wasn't meant for public consumption....I'm sure kiddo will do just great with you to guide him though. ;)
Thanks!! We're hoping good things for him.

Well no debt so far...he still has 5 years of grad school to go, so we'll see how much debt he accumulates for that....Although according to him, they are paying his tuition and a stipend to come there, so his accommodations are supposed to be covered by that. We'll see how far it really goes though.

I'll definitely let you all know how the chicken tenders come out with the crisper...stay tuned. ;)

All this talk of meatballs is making me hungry...need to go find some lunch.

That's great for him!!!
I'm not around him enough to really know how he is with common sense, hopefully he'll be okay.

I was too!! Had to stop and eat myself.

Bwahahaha. Just the cookbook alone is $19.95. :?:

I can order one red copper brownie bonanza pan for $19.99, BUT WAIT, if I call NOW, I can get a second red copper brownie bonanza pan PLUS a donut pan for just an additional $9.99. and that comes with a recipe guide. :sneaky:;)
    Yeah ... NO!

Basically what they do at Subway...course a paddle cutter thingie like they use at Subway's would prob hold up better than the salad thingie....for prob the same $$. Truth be told. ;)
A knife and a hand works jussssst fine :p
One of you order something and let us know :evil::evil::evil::evil::evil::evil::evil:

Well, my mom got sucked into that one. She says it's awesome and uses it for all sorts of things. I, myself, would rather not have another appliance to sit around taking up space. :p
    Hear hear!!!

Dang my eyes are getting bad! It took forever to find the fish! I was almost tempted to Sharpie in a fish stick, but took a detour and looked at isticks instead!
