Another steamy one today. I sure wouldn't mind a trip to VA beach! It's been many a year since I've been there. Actually, I was stationed in VA and did the trip down there, but that was 1978. I guess I'll have to settle for a trip to our own coast, but the gulf coast isn't anywhere near as nice as the west coast or many places on the east side.

Lori, that sounds like an awesome time!! Never been to any of those places. DH won't fly anymore after a flight with really nasty turbulence.

VA Beach has been an annual vacation for us for the last 3 years. Not too far to drive and it's warm. Last year my parents went with us. We were trying to coordinate the whole family but this year no ones vacations matched up. I think that would be fun.

Good morning Paul. We love it there because it's more low key and still a vacation. I would love to visit the gulf coast. Maybe someday when I retire.

I know, me too, but the day's not over yet.
I don't think they'll turn it on if no one is there.
I know, the feels like is 99. But thankfully, not as hot as it was yesterday.
I saw 10 reported outages around the area there, more closer to town.
DH said the one healthy limb in the tree is what took out the line.

Good afternoon all Guess this is what you call my "early " day now

2000 pounds of hams, 180 pounds of ground beef and 250 pounds of sausage later ... plus I've had to do clean up by myself all week I hate clean up

Had a storm heading this way, it completely SPLIT and the two sections went right around us.
I saw 4 drops of rain...oh, I take that back, it's raining huge drops.

Well, if I had someone to make me #2, I definitely would.

Looks like some dark clouds are rolling in this way too. Boy, we really are getting the short end of the stick this summer.
