OMG what a day! I have been going nonstop since I got to work this morning...I even had to cut my lunch short by 30 minutes and worked another 30 minutes over...which means an hour off tomorrow...I can deal with that.

Turns out our payroll company is going paperless, which I just found out last week, but they've known since June, but failed to pass along to us...so now I have 4 weeks to get all our clients converted over...we have a lot of construction companies and other blue collar worker types who love getting a paper check...so getting them set up on direct deposit can be a challenge...I spent the day having to go visit clients to let know what is going on and what we can do to help with the change...the next couple of weeks will be busy with doing that, but once we get it set up, it's going to save a lot of time for us, and money for my boss since she won't have to pay all that mileage and we can better use our time for other things...not to mention the paper it will save. Probably a couple of trees worth a week. :p:laugh:

Yes, Paul, please do be safe...looks like it could get quite nasty for you...so far they don't really know how much it will affect us...looks like just a rain event here, but they have no idea how much right now...we'll just have to wait and see.

    Lori, love the hair!

Waiting on my catfish dinner here...has been a few weeks since I've had any.

Hahaha. This is from 2006.
I don't have many pics of myself, and nothing on the laptop...

I agree with Dale, very pretty :) thanks for sharing.

You can say that again! No inspector showed up for pre-op  Boss texted at 8:30 and told me to go ahead. ... made my normal 250 pounds and started waiting again  Boss took hours to get a few lousy orders, I was bored outta my gourd

Very pretty! It must have been long since it still is. ;)

That's a great picture of you :thumb:

    Yuck! That stinks.

At this point, no evacuation. Down the road in Victoria, they have voluntary evacuation. We are keeping ourselves up to date, and the city is texting all the residents with the latest. As this storm intensifies, anything could happen and we could be told to evacuate tomorrow. Maybe we won't have to. We aren't really in a flood zone, but anything can flood with torrential rains bringing 4" per hour, which is what they're predicting.

Oh boy, glad you are getting updates. Hopefully they aren't accurate in their predictions. Again, stay safe.

    It's a control thing ain't it? ;)

I love direct deposit, makes life so much easier. The money is in my account sooner than the check would have been in my hand.
I understand many people do :)

It's not going to be fun that's for sure

Harvey is projected make landfall along the Texas coast on Friday night as a Category 3 hurricane. The last hurricane to make landfall in Texas was Ike as a Category 2 on Sept. 13, 2008.

A state of disaster was declared for 30 counties in Texas in advance of Harvey by Gov. Greg Abbott.

The decreasing forward speed of the storm will lead to long-duration rainfall and gusty winds. Harvey will cause much worse damage from flooding and wind than would normally occur from a swift moving storm of equal magnitude.

"Impacts from Harvey will be tremendous in terms of displacement of people, property and economic loss and travel and freight disruptions," according to AccuWeather Vice President of Forecasting and Graphics Operations Marshall Moss.
