Hello friends. I am sorry to be a party pooper right now but we had to take our corgi Mya to the vet today and she was diagnosed with AIHA. They have put her on prednisone and done a blood transfusion but things aren't going well. Have any of you had a dog with this and did they make it? The prognosis according to the Internet doesn't look good but the vet says don't give up.
I've never heard of that either...so sorry you are going through that...many prayers to you and Mya...sending healing vibes for her.

Thanks you Angel. She is my first fur baby out of the five we have. Apparently the AIHA hits fast and hard. I had never heard of it either. Steve just carried her outside and she did go tinkle. We are praying she makes it to Monday when we take her back in. If her red blood count has not come up substantially we will have to make some decisions. I DON'T want more transfusions just to prolong her life a few more days.

Chili, so very sorry to hear that. I had to Google, have never heard of it either.
Prayers for Mya!! Hopefully the treatment will be successful!!
Listen to your vet and don't give up!

I'm waiting for the dryer to stop...then will try to take a short nap and stitch some.
The nap will be more cuddle time with Rita than a real nap, but I've been busy all morning/day (guess morning's been over for awhile now, Lol's) and would like to close my eyes for just a few minutes. ;)
Pretty sure a nap is out of the question for me although I'd love to have one.

She was fine two days ago and now we are losing her. Some dogs make it through but the odds aren't good.
    (((Hugs)))

I'm really sorry to hear about Mya, I'm not familiar with that either. Sending lots of prayers your way. (((Hugs)))

Got all but one thing done and that's mopping the kitchen, thinking it best to do that tomorrow;)

I've worn glasses for years for distance but the last few years I've had to remove them for up close work
Tried bifocals and despised them so I just take them off.

Don't blame you one bit on the mopping. I'd wait forever if I could :w00t:. Not fond of the thought of bifocals, can't imagine tri  yikes! How does that even work?

Contacts picked up, phone fixed, hit the car wash and produce purchased. I'm ready for a nap too, but that's just not happenin, since it's almost time to start dinner. :sneaky:

I don't know why but mopping does a real number on my back

DH is working at helping me stay hopeful. No wonder I have kept him around for 38 years! Now I feel bad about all the times I have complained about him bringing home 5 dogs. I really do love all 5 of them.

Oh yum Dale, I'd take a cookie. :D

I maybe napped about 20 minutes. It helped.

Hopefully Paul will check back in tonight. :)

Guess I'll go find something to eat. DH has gone to watch an Indy race that's about 30 to 40 minutes away.
The delivery driver where we work works at the track on weekends so he had extra tickets, and gave DH one.
    (I declined. Lol's ;) ) Been there, got the t-shirt. *yawn*
I know, shame on me, I should've gone, but....

Okay, I'm off to eat. BBL.

I was glad I didn't sleep any longer, would rather sleep tonight ;)

    That's cute :)
At least you can tell what it's going to be like :thumb:

Finally am Home. shower and dinner done already and probably going to call it a night early tonight.
Guess you had to work today :( Can't blame you for wanting an early night :)
