They say it was the computer ... picked up DH after work, brought him home to get a key, took him back to town .... waited an hour ... they still couldn't get it fixed o_O

No such luck Lori, he brought it home from Church Wednesday night smoking and red from heat
We're guessing the manifold

Sounds like you really did need those glasses, glad you got 'em :thumb:

Today was exceptionally difficult and unpleasant in more ways than one ... probably won't be very talkative tonight ;)

I did bring dessert :)

Cake looks wonderful!! Sorry for the crappy day. :(
I understand though. We all have those days.

Dinner sounds wonderful OBG!!

I'm prob not going to be around much tonight either. Been up since 4 this a.m., nap was basically a no-go.
Have had the contacts in and out twice. My eyes are rather irritated.
I think I will skip ordering any.
Not my thing, and at my age, I don't need to be tugging that under eye area. ;)

Dale, sorry you had an unpleasant day...(((HUGS)))

Lori, contacts can take a bit of getting used to...I took me a little while, but now I couldn't imagine not having them.

Was nice taking a leisurely drive to deliver payroll...temp was only 80 out and was sunny and beautiful...we don't get many days like that in September...it's usually hot as Hades out there still this time of year...I sure won't complain though. ;)

    Yes we do :)

Sorry the contacts are not for you :( I knew I'd never go that route so never even tried to get any.

I know, that's what they said. They're really irritated from earlier.
I have a bit of trouble getting them out. :( They said that's perfectly normal, and that I did just fine when I was there, but I don't know, we'll see.

Do you still wear readers when you're on the computer. They told me I would prob need light readers for that.
She said her goal was for 80% satisfaction for distance, and as close as we could get for up close.
She said that because there were 2 different Rx's getting it perfect wasn't really realistic.
I'm clueless, but my eyes were in that state where you're kind of fuzzy, where they're unsettled, trying to constantly refocus.
    I HATE that feeling. :(

Yep, I suppose I have, but I'm still here...albeit, kicking and screaming somedays, but yeah.;)

I'm hoping this nice weather will stick around for a bit.

I do wear readers for the computer and any reading...but I prefer that, because I only have to wear those when needed...if I didn't have my contacts in, I'd need to wear glasses all the time because I can't see a dang thing without them without it being super blurry and fuzzy.

Coffee to go with the desserts
Thanks for the coffee...am enjoying an adult beverage right now, so save some for later for me please. ;)

    Thank you KC.

As long as I don't need to read anything, I'm fine without glasses.
My distance isn't that bad, and so far, I don't have a driving restriction for glasses.
I could wear glasses less than I do, I just wear them so I don't have to take them on and off all the time, and keep track of where I had them last.
They're an absolute must though to read *anything* printed on paper, unless the size of the print is GINORMOUS.
The glasses I have now are almost 7 years old, and I need a stronger Rx for reading, and a smidge more for distance.
I'd bought stronger cheaters a couple years ago for computer work, but tired of flipping back and forth...I do that about 100 times a day at work.

OSDIY code JFK good for 17% off :Dand I got 2 bags of candy 2 cork drink coasters and rubber gloves

Off to go soak, I'm going to go ahead and say goodnight.
Sweet dreams when y'all go.

    Good evening lurkers

Sorry you had a rough day, Dale. :(

Congrats on your mead, OBG

Sorry about the contacts, Lori. That stinks. I do want to add that contacts aren't a "one brand fits all" kinda thing. The ones I've worn for years have been discontinued and it took me going through three different brands to find a new normal. :2c:

Good morning, Dale and Lurkers

By the way I forgot to tell y'all I went out to the shop just before dark and when I looked down to put the key in the lock a little brown snake about a ft. long with a bright orange head went slithering right between my toes and the door :shock:it was going due north by the way :laugh:I think they are called wood snakes or tree snakes been a few years since I looked them up :)

I had a 3' snake on my front porch a couple weeks ago. I stopped and waited until it looked at me and realized it's a good snake. I stood and waited for him to move. He quickly moved and bumped right into my foot, turned and went under the house. Just a rat snake. I'll keep all those I can to help prevent any rodents around the property.

It's Friday! Should get DW's car back today. But I have to run her down to the next town for a doc appointment this morning. Good thing I'm all caught up at the shop so it's not been a big issue taking off for awhile every day to get her to work and such. Hope everyone has a great day!!

Oh, and speaking of glasses, I have to wear mine all the time. Can't see a thing otherwise.
