Just posted this in IRMA thread
Oh wow. I know that will be greatly appreciated :thumb:

OH, and I received a nice goodie from the company to day.
A ring, our company is the only one to have received 7 Heil trophies.
The Heil trophy is a safety award for fuel hauling companies that is given out once every year.
    How nice! Congratulations :)

    Good evening all.
Thank you for the desserts Dale.

KC that's wonderful!!! Both posts!!!

Heard from my sister, who heard from my nephew (her son).
He spoke with his room mate, and they lost their roof, and a back wall collapsed, so they are going to have to find alternative housing and wait to see what their landlord does.

She said he was in good spirits (considering), and he said, hey...it's just stuff, and that's all part of living in FL in a coastal community...it happens.
He said his boat was on the trailer, and they'd moved it to higher ground, that it should be fine.
I'm fairly certain he has most of his more expensive fishing gear with him.
He has a *really* expensive GPS thingie, and I know that's with him in AK.
She said he was bummed to lose his new coffee grinder...he just bought a REALLY nice one before he left for AK.
But she said he only mentioned a couple things that he would be sad to lose.
    I pretty much figured that's how he'd react. :)

Hate to hear that Lori :( Doubly glad he wasn't there now!

Is the boat the kind you can live on?

    No.
    It's what's called a "flats" boat.
I don't know the brand/maker, but basically like this.
They're made to get up into shallow areas (for fishing). When you can no longer use the motor, and don't want to use a trolling motor because of the noise/vibration, the fishing guide will stand on the platform that looks like a table above the motor, and they use a pole to move the boat around.
Plus, from that vantage point, they can see fish ahead of the boat and tell people where to cast.
    (something like that )

His is an older (nice) one, that isn't made anymore.
I guess the replacement for the model he has isn't as nice, so to him, it's more valuable than the replacement value...if that makes sense.
People that still have them are keeping them too. He said used ones are as much as new (similar) ones.

...I'm just repeating. I have not a clue what I'm talking about. ;)

    Thank you all,
every one of the mechanics (at least at my terminal)do our best to keep the equipment ready and safe. We are grateful to have received that award
    That is quite an honor!!
Must be a really (potentially) dangerous profession if they give out awards for safety. :)

Well, we work on the LPG, and other trailers that haul fuel and fuel products from refinery to refinery, as well as what is delivered to the gas stations and propane distributers. and that is what the drivers pull across the country.

Yeah, I'd say that's a very dangerous profession for all involved.

Congrats on the award KC :)

Lori, so sorry for your nephew's place. Sure am glad he's ok.

Sweet dreams lurkers  Can barely keep my eyes open.
Thanks, I hate it for him, but not a thing that can be done about it. :)
Like you said, he's okay, and that's the main thing...and he's missing out on the no water, no sewer, no electricity part, so I'm really glad he's not even there right now. :)

    Sweet dreams Sara.
