Looks like the pelicans are ready

I think they're always ready, they have signs...DO NOT feed the birds.
Actually, it's really sad that people at fish cleaning stations feed them the bones, then they choke. They're not meant to eat large bones. Small fish they can swallow whole.
People think they're being nice, but it doesn't work out well for them sometimes.
Small, bait fish like at Robbie's is prob perfect though.
They're beggers for sure.

Oh boy Couldn't like that one. So sad.

Uggg! Is it quittin' time yet? Water main break (that's two in the last week) no water pressure and my hair feels dirty (cursing my thick hair) even though I washed it. First one was Saturday and I usually tie it up on the weekends so no biggie. We ran out of the quick rolled oats and I had to use the steel cut blechh. DH took TWO bananas to work and left me with none, not on purpose so I can't be mad. Hockey tournament going on and the parking lot was full this morning. I need a do over or 4:30 to get here right quick.

That reminds me, kiddo and I need to finish watching The Plastic Ocean. it's a difficult docu to watch, but I want him to be aware of just how terrible plastic *can* be and why it's good to recycle and try to avoid buying things in plastic. The birds choking on the bones reminded me of the animals and sea life ingesting plastic and dying.

That reminds me, kiddo and I need to finish watching The Plastic Ocean. it's a difficult docu to watch, but I want him to be aware of just how terrible plastic *can* be and why it's good to recycle and try to avoid buying things in plastic. I don't know, but there should be pics or something. Gruesome...yes, but if you can clean a fish, you could handle the pic I'd imagine.
Most responsible fishing guides explain the "why" behind it.
My nephew said he sees videos people have taken while feeding the birds, they think it's cool to interact with the wild life and post the videos on You Tube or FB.
Kind of like the people who take their boats too close to pods of whales.

I haven't seen that movie, but I've read enough articles, and seen enough pics.
Rubber flip flops are another I've seen talked about lately.

The disregard for wildlife drives me bonkers. Take a pic from afar but leave them alone. Don't go chasing to get the perfect picture/video.

Do they work well in sand? The first year I had a cloth sole sandal and the sand did not like that. I do still wear them but only at home. They are in rough shape.
