Good morning Lori

We’re at 50 but the days high is 48 :?:

So, I’ve been sick since December 28th and have a horrible sore throat still. Apparently I need help
Prob could use an antibiotic...something is still active if you've still got a sore throat. Do you still have your tonsils??

Good evening all.
Never got back here today, was super, crazy busy today.
On the way to work, the gal in my office called and said that she was going to the Dr. this a.m., and that the gal who does the daily balancing/answers phones was home throwing up.
So yeah...was just me holding down the fort...so to speak...at least in the accounting office.
(scary stuff ;) )
The daily cash gal called this afternoon, she's going to the Dr. in the a.m., they think she has the flu...I don't expect her back at all this week...just a feeling. ;)

Guess there's a nasty flu going around. :(
I mean to tell ya, what a sick, motley crew at work.
Half are out sick, and those who are at work are in various stages of either coming down with it, or getting over it.

The gal in our office says she'll be there tomorrow...for sure. She's been out since Thurs.

Off to get my bath and stuff.
BBL.

Poor Dear, been there myself.
Do this.
Wrap some of this old school cotton

around a finger then soak the digit in a mix of lemon and honey.
Stick it down your throat and swab it all around, especially where it hurts.

it will soon feel much better.

I’m thinking I probably have strep again, had that several times last year you know

Sounds awful at your place of business, no wonder you’re sick :(
Is there really any point in going to the doctor for the flu?

Lols, not sure my finger is long enough to reach that far o_O Maybe I could just gargle with it :?:

Nah, I knew you'd think that..gargling won't do it as you have to rub it in.
You need somebody to do it for you..somebody who won't have mercy or be afraid to gag you... :)

    Hi Lori.
It seems to be nationwide. There are flu as well as bronchitis epidemics big time.
    Hi Hazy. :)
I don't doubt that. I believe both to be going around at work. Not everyone has the same thing.
Someone was saying today that someone they know is going in tomorrow to have a baby (scheduled delivery), and that NO one can go in with her, I'm thinking even to the hospital, that they're keeping people away from the hospital if they don't need to be there...course, it's possible someone didn't understand and might have that wrong too, but that's what he said.

Actually, I'm one of the healthier ones.

Nothing they can really do for the flu, they said she's early enough into it for Tamiflu (sp?), but they can treat secondary issues. Dehydration, and just drew a blank for anything else...maybe offer respiratory support if there's bronchial issues/infection as well. But the flu has to run it's course. Your body has to build up antibodies to fight it...I think, don't quote me, what I know would fit in a thimble. ;)

Sorry you're still dealing with that. :(

I know at least one older lady who went in hospital with bronchitis and now has pneumonia.
One of the daughter in laws had to rush to Emergency with bronchitis so bad she couldn't breathe.

I got lucky. DW coughed on me and gave me bronchitis, son sneezed and gave me the flu.
Feeling better now..thank God 'cause I thought I was dying.

    Wow, that's scary for DIL.
    Glad you're feeling better.
I think it must be highly contagious, it seems no one is exempt...at least not where I work.

I see I missed everyone tonight...that's what happens when you come home and fall asleep in your recliner right after finishing dinner.

Oh well, sweet dreams lovely lurkers.

Good morning, Dale, Sara, KC, Lori and sleeping Lurkers:wub:

That's distressing hearing about all the illnesses going around. Hope it's on the mend and you all start feeling better quick. These things are hanger oners, though. I had a cold a couple of weeks ago and still have problems with some stuffiness and light congestion. Strange, I never felt bad though. Just stuffy.

Good grief, this is only Tuesday. This is going to be a long week. At least we have some good weather for a few days, lows in the low to mid 40's, highs in the 60's. Thursday is when we should get some colder weather and a chance of rain. You all stay warm, get well soon, and I'll pop in when I can to check up on you.

    It sure is a hanger-on .

High 40’s for us today ... long day at work day too ... it’s a conspiracy I tell ya’, a conspiracy to keep me from watching NCIS :glare:
