Hiya lurkers  precip has begun. Right now it’s in the form of sleet which is actually a good thing. Hopefully it stays sleet and doesn’t turn to freezing rain. Well....at least that’s what the meteorologist says. Guess I shouldn’t pretend like I know what I’m talking about.

Dale, bet you’d really like these chops. There isn’t too much cheese on them. 1/3 cup for 3, prolly less since I dump some of the coating when I’m done. I bet you could even get away with using less of the cheese since it’s mixed with bread crumbs and seasonings.

Brrrr. That stinks that you’re losing 20+ degrees.
Would be nice if you could avoid freezing rain, that’s so damaging :(

I don’t mind the drop, one more opportunity to wear my fuzzy warm purple robe :D

Work day done, dinner eaten(Beef Stroganoff). It has been windy as heck here with a few minor flurries, just not enough to stick other than in grassy areas.

I saw Dale say "soccer", I think I said, "floor hockey", didn't go back to look, sorry...sometimes I read something and my brain registers something else.:facepalm:

Your dinner sounds wonderful!! Be sure to scrap the burnt/crusty goodness off the bottom of the pan for dessert!!
Holy Moly...good stuff right there!! Same goes for baked Parm chicken breasts.

Hope the sleet holds and you don't get ice.:nun:

IKR? :?: I mean I gotta get up so I can be put to sleep so they can wake me back up
Maybe ask if they can let you sleep an extra half hour.
That's some good sleep...I think it lets your body fully relax (for a change).

Thanks for the cuppa, glad you home and have eaten, now to chat on the net and relax!!!

Rainy, chilly and gloomy here most all day...flipped the furnace back on, had just shut it all off...prob going to need it tonight.
DH and I went to the next little town over for Chinese...it was just okay...definitely edible, but nothing to write home about.
Getting ready to go soak since I got chilled while we were out. Cold rain down the back of your neck will do that.

Thanks All, for the good wishes. There are 2 things that are bothering me most about this skin cancer thing.

    1. It has been my experience(as well as other Veterans that I know) most appointments take minimally 30 days for the VA.

    2. Both of my parents died of cancer at age 53 even tho they were a couple of years age difference. This kinda has marked a diagnoses of cancer to be a "death sentence" for my personal experiences.

Thank You to All Lurkers for allowing me to vent Here!

This is a totally alien situation for me and am not fully sure how to deal with current thoughts/feelings.

Am mainly just holding on to the " It is just a simple thing" thought and just kinda try and be neutral 'bout the whole thing.
Figure holding on to negative thoughts will promote negative outcome.

I’m right there with you KC with this oral thing, trying to make light of it knowing it might be nothing.

Glad it’s minor flurries. Beef stroganoff sounds yummy too. Everyone had some good food today :) I agree with Dale, definitely scary and I’m sending lots of positive energy/vibes your way.

Nothing worse than being chilled to the bone but definitely a warm soak will fix you up in no time. Oh yeah, I add those crispy bits to the top of the meat before sticking it in the oven to finish cooking. You were right, floor hockey is on the weekend and soccer during the week. I knew what Dale meant though. Heck if I can keep stuff straight and he’s my kiddo.

It wasn’t you that got it wrong Lori, it was me . I went back and she said floor hockey
It’s ok Dale  sports are sports no matter what’s being played ;) and he plays a lot of them. Mostly to keep him active as there aren’t a lot of neighborhood kids his age around here. As long as he wants to play, I will gladly pay.

After this session of hockey (there are at least 2 more Saturday’s left), he will have aged out of it. On one hand I will be glad, on the other, another chapter in his life ends. Sad.

Ooooh jealous of your Chinese, girls. We haven’t had that in a very long time. Maybe since DH had his tia. I should try my hand at fried rice.

I’m really craving Mexican these days. I need to grab a friend and head to the local restaurant. Frozen burritos just isn’t cutting it. I want real ones and homemade chips and salsa.

Both of you “positively” vent away. I know I’m not the only one here happy to lend an ear or rather eyes. I agree on your last sentence KC, wholeheartedly.

BTW I do understand that my definition is not a given, just what has occurred in my head during the past 6 years that I have lived longer than my parents did.
I remember one of my mom's birthdays that really bothered her.
I asked why, and it was the same as you.
    She had outlived her mother.
Different medical situations, but you're not the only one who has felt that way.

Oh well, itlit be me next time.

Completely understandable for you to have feelings going all over the place and all directions.
Hard especially when it's all entirety out of our control...the waiting for appointments and test results doesn't help either.
    Positivity never hurts.
Hang in there, vent as needed.

    Heading off too.
    Goodnight all.
