Oh my what a busy day...have been busy all day, and even had to work late so I could make sure I had everything in place for the girls next week...then had to go to Sam's to stock up for the boy while I'm gone...made him go with me though so he could do the heavy lifting...Has been a rough day for movement, but hoping you girls are right and that I'll be turning the corner on the pain thing and feeling better soon...fingers crossed anyway.

Turns out it's been a good week for all my boys...the oldest got a raise because corporate decided he was doing a great job as general manager...then today my boy who's always at home finally got a job!!! One of my clients called me today needing a meter reader, and I jokingly said too bad my son didn't have a car because he needed a job...2 minutes later the guy called back saying he wanted him and he'd even come to my office to pick him up since it's only about 5 minutes away...my son is so excited to finally be going back to work.

Then his twin texted me to tell me that he got a grant to go and present some of his research to an international conference in New Orleans this fall, and that only 15 people worldwide were chosen to present at this conference...so proud of that boy!

So just have to finish washing clothes and get my bags packed and then I'll be ready to relax...finally!

I don't think I'll see it this year. Nothing planned anyway.
Have already had a few nice trips to MIL's at the lake, and another planned sometime in Sept., then our usual trip in Nov. for Thanksgiving, so I definitely won't complain. It's the next best thing.

Didn't make it back last night.
Ate, cleaned up the kitchen, usual evening routine, and went directly to stitch...two whopping rows, and went to bed. Was totally pooped.
Thanks for the well wishes, just minor stiffness, this too shall pass.
Nothing like poor Angel's going through.

Well, better get busy, have been doing nadda so far all morning.

I forgot to mention that the Blue Angels are putting on a show today and tomorrow and where our condo is, we're going to have prime viewing of it! So excited to get to see them, they are awesome!!

Still pretty sore...now hurts to just sit too, but I'm sure after a few margaritas I won't care too much.

Hiya OBG! Good rule that #1 is!
I always turn of the ice maker too (if you have one).
There's a story of some people who left for a 10 day vacation to return to a flooded basement because their water line to the ice maker failed...and, apparently the sump pump wasn't working. Urban legend was that water was thigh deep.
We also always flip the manual lock on the electric garage door, again...if you have one.

Here in our teeny, tiny village, if we're leaving town, you're supposed to let the police department know, they ask that you fill out a form that says when you're leaving and returning, and if any vehicles are left out, if keys are left with a neighbor, and who to contact in case of emergency.
I think it's pretty cool that they do that.
They even have lines to fill in for when they've driven by.

Dale, sorry it's still so darn hot for you and that you're not even able to nap without being restless.
I go back and forth napping, sometimes they're a success, sometimes, not so much.

Joey, so sorry you're still dealing with all that.
Hope things continue to get better though.

I always turn off the water in the basement if I'm going away for more than a day,I put in a nice ball valve just for that
